Good day Papachinos Management, I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding my experience at Papachinos Fourways on [27/04/2026]. I visited the restaurant based on a referral promoting the 50% pizza and pasta special, and upon arrival, the promotional pamphlet was clearly placed on our table. My friend and I ordered pizzas under the reasonable assumption that the promotion app****. At no point before ordering were we informed that the special does not apply on public holidays. This information was only raised when we requested the bill, which I believe constitutes misleading advertising and poor disclosure. When I queried this, I requested to speak to the manager. The manager on duty responded in an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable manner. He stated that: There was “nothing that could be done” He would not waste his time “entertaining” us We should either pay or leave without paying and “he would sort it out” I was “taking chances” and that I “have money issues” I could not afford to eat at the restaurant We were told never to return to Papachinos These remarks were demeaning, humiliating, and discriminatory, and I felt judged based on factors unrelated to the situation at hand. This was my first visit to your establishment, and I was deeply disturbed by how I was spoken to. Furthermore, as we were leaving, the same manager took a photograph of the car we were driving. No explanation was provided. This action left me feeling unsafe and intimidated, and I am extremely concerned about his intentions. Despite this hostile experience, we paid the full bill of R1035 to avoid further confrontation. To be clear: I had no issue paying for my meal My concern was the lack of transparency regarding the promotion The treatment we received was completely unjustified and unacceptable I hereby formally request: A written apology from the manager involved A formal investigation into his conduct Clarification on why an employee felt justified in photographing my vehicle Assurance that no customer will be treated in this manner going forward If this matter is not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I will be forced to escalate this complaint further through consumer protection channels. I trust that Papachinos will take this complaint seriously and uphold the standards of professionalism and respect expected from a well‑established restaurant group.
