I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Papachinos in Boksburg. I’ve always enjoyed bringing my daughter here, which is why I decided to bring my whole family this time—but this experience was unacceptable.
The food was okay, but definitely not up to the usual standard I’m used to. However, the real issue started when I paid the bill. I didn’t check it at first because I’ve never had problems here before. As I was leaving, the waiter stopped me and said he had given me the wrong bill. I trusted him, paid the “corrected” amount, and left.
When I got home, my mom checked the bill, only to discover that it was STILL incorrect—and this time I had actually been overcharged.
I immediately called the restaurant, and they admitted it was yet another mistake and promised to refund me. It’s now day 3, and I still have not received my money.
This raises serious concerns: How does a customer get given TWO incorrect bills in one visit? Is this happening to other customers without them realizing? Have I possibly been overcharged in the past without noticing?
It’s not even about the amount anymore—it’s about trust. This is money I worked hard for, and the lack of urgency in fixing this issue is very disappointing.
Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
