The owner or teller at Perky Pets, West Coast Village is unbelievably rude and has no people skills whatsoever. They really shouldn’t be working in a role that involves dealing with customers.

We visited the dog parlor about a year ago and were charged R180 for a wash and nailclipping. We returned with our dog again due to the reasonable price only to be charged R330. We won't use this service again

Honestly one of the most positive experiences I have had with online shopping. Carol Arendse has gone above and beyond for me and my kitties on many occasions. Their delivery is always timeous and the option for same day delivery if payment received before 11am is top notch. I don't have a vehicle but I can count on the fact that my kitties will be sorted every month with food and litter. Best prices also.

I shop at Perk Pets every month to get dog food for 6 dogs as well as bird food for my Parakeet. Yesterday I went online to look for a water dispenser for my dogs. The Perky Pets website redirected me to their online store at shopvetzcare.co.za where I found the Watermans water dispenser advertised at R204.75 with the following product description: Use: Used for Pet water Composition: Plastic Benefits: Very strong and easy automatically dispenses water for your pet Size: 25Cm length X 25Cm width X 50CM height Weight: 800g When I got to the store and found the product on the shelf, it was priced at R325 which is roughly R120 more than it was advertised for on their website. When I notified the manager of the price difference and even showed him the item as advertised on their online store, after waiting almost 30 minutes for him to find whatever paperwork and information he was looking for, instead of at the very least admitting their mistake; he tried to convince me that the item on the website was not the same as the one on their shelf despite it being the exact same item and the exact same size even after he himself inspected and measured it. If this was a Pick n Pay store, they would have given me the item at the price it was advertised for LESS double the difference. This morning I went back to the online store and the price is still incorrect as no one bothered to correct it. Despite this being false advertising, Perky Pets was only prepared to give me a 15% discount on the product. I'm extremely disappointed in their dishonesty as I've been a loyal customer for at least 10 years already. It seems as if Perky Pets no long concern themselves with the happiness of their customers.

Formal complaint : <br> I just went to Diep River branch fifteen minutes before closing time as my male cat came home at 12:30 drooling and displaying signs or being poisoned. I dashed over there for activated charcoal and when I got to do counter to pay I was informed that their card machine can't take my card. They made me drive out to draw cash to process the sale. I was appalled as my cat was POISONED and time was of the essence. When I got back with the cash the gate was locked and the guard refused to let me in to pay for the charcoal which could save my cats life ! I made a scene and the owner Walked up to the gate and slammed the door in my face ! ... my boy passed away ten minutes after I returned at 13:15 pm empty handled and broken. I am shattered and I will never look at that place again . I am absolutely appalled by what had just taken place. And my heart has been torn from my chest - ten minutes would have been the difference between life and death for my Oliver - disgusting.
