Poor communication and excess demand of tenant maintenance
Permanent trust invests your deposit with themselves, and earns <2% interest per year. They also bill you to repaint the entire apartment if you put a nail in one wall (in spite of the lease stating repainting needs to occur "panel to panel"). Any excuse to charge you - they will, since painting is the tenant's job - best believe they will drain every cent.... whilst at the same time the windows are cracked, and every single frame is rusted, and the ceiling is peeling. Guess who is legally obligated to fix ceilings, and rusted window frames...? Oh that's right, they only care about perfect maintenance when the tenant is responsible.

Great communication and Quick to help
Taz Momsen has been amazing from the start of my Daughters stay. Quick to communicate and sort out any problems we had. The apartment blocks in Vredehoek are old so there will be problems with Electrics and Plumbing etc. Only issue I had was with Accounts as they refused to give my daughter any Relief in the Rent after she could no longer work due to the Covid - 19 lock down. Other than that they have been quick to respond to any issues we had.

Shocking Agents and Service
Shocking rental service. Does not respond to any emails when they are informed about maintenance issues at apartments or when *****ing about deposits. Wait weeks for repairs to be done. The team is aggressive and rude when doing an outgoing inspection. Threatening tenants with costs and bullying you into paying and repairing fixtures at your own cost. Rented from Permanent trust for 6 years and thankful I do not have to do so again.
