I employed this company to generate an Electrical / Plumbing certificate for the sale of my house in Cape Town. My first concern was that they demanded that the inspection fee of R800.00 be paid in cash (no VAT was charged). When I asked for a receipt I was given a piece of paper torn out of a notebook. A quote was received for the necessary repairs listing all the problems they claimed needed attention. Given that I had to have the certificate I negotiated their price down and then asked them to proceed. They came, pottered around for a while and then said they were finished. I received an invoice for the work in the name of another company SDMC No 20, again no VAT charged, paid the account and received the certificates. Within a week I had electrical problems at the sub DB board. Pestech were uninterested in sorting out the problem so I called in another electrician. He looked with disbelief at the way in which the DB board was structured showing me loose wires, unsafe connections, loose circuit breakers etc. It is clear that the technicians employed by this firm are incompetent, and that the certificate of compliance that they prepare is essentially worthless. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

Moving into my new apartment, I have found the toilet could not flush on Saturday. Several attempts to get the agent to have the matter sorted still did not bring resolve on Thursday. Having had a back operation in late February I cannot bend or carry heavy things, but was forced to carry buckets of water to flush the toilet. A dear friend also an agent mentioned my predicament to Ash from Pesttech, who also did the full COC inspection at my previous home. He immediately arranged a plumber to assist. What a wonderfull experience! Leba introduced himself and immediatly resolved the problem. He was friendly and left the area clean and wished me well.There are still angles among us! Thank you Ash and Leba! I can honestly recommend your proffessionality.

Pestech incompetents crooks.
Over promise and under deliver. On their quotes they wanted to charge me for parts that go in the ceiling upon inspection myself i saw it was there. Taking chances. On other fittings there markup was 976%. This included their labour to remove two ***** to remove it.

I'm adding the email sent to Pestech: It has now been 3 weeks since I contacted your company for a clearance certificate. Firstly when I phoned to book, I asked for a confirmation email. Nothing! When the inspection was done i received the quote from the plumber but not elec. I followed up with pestech and received many excuses such as loadshedding, told someone else to send it, it was sent etc. I am now fed up as I phoned again today and was promised the quote, I still have not received it. I am now emailing to confirm that I have asked another company to do the inspection for me. I will not be paying you as you didn't deliver the service quoted for. Your company is costing me money as you are holding up my registration. Thank you for the incompetence I will certainly not recommend you to anyone.
