On 1 March 2026, my partner and I visited Del Forno Glenanda, where we are regular customers. We placed our order for two New York Strip Steaks at approximately 14:28. By 15:22, no food had been served, and no waiter had checked on us. After finally getting the attention of the owner, John, the meals were brought out immediately, but without steak knives and with poor presentation. John then informed us that the order had only been captured at 14:51, implying that we were being untruthful about when it had been placed. As customers, we have no influence over when a waiter enters an order into the POS system. His manner was dismissive and unprofessional. Despite paying, we chose not to eat the food. This is not the first time we have experienced poor service or incorrect orders at this branch, but the deterioration since the departure of the previous manager, Joe, has become increasingly noticeable. Based on this experience, we will no longer be returning to Del Forno, at this or any other branch.

We went to Middelburg Del Forno for a planned valentines day date night. We are so sorry that we went. The service was horrible. The music is way too loud. It feels like you need to scream at eaxh other to have a conversation. Kitchen overloaded. Not enough waiters for all the tables that needed to be served. We were there a total of 3 hours for 3 courses. The food was mediocre. After waiting an hour for the starters we waited a further hour for the mains, and then the waiters switched up and they let us know that there wasn't any mushrooms for the Alfredo pasta. We waited a further half an hour. My Fiancé's butternut was mixed with potato and his steak had a lot of fat on it. I asked two different waiters for a pen and paper, to write a letter to management. No one brought me anything. So I wrote a note on my slip. Needles to say, I don't think it will find itself to management in any way. I will never go back there again. Total waste of time and a ruined mood for what was supposed to be a special date.

Appalling. Food left Lemontree, for what should have been a 5 min drive, and because they load the driver with too many meals, we ended up waiting over an hour in total. The food goes soggy. Sorry, not sorry, but we were going to spend good money, and expect good food. It's sad, because they will probably dock the driver for my cancelled order. Do not recommend delivery service.

I visited Del Forno with my best friend. We were welcomed by a very friendly waiter Nelson. We received breakfast menu's and it all looked extremely nice. We exhanged for main menu"s. Nelson suggested a few of the dishes for us. We made our decisions. The owner/manager came to our table and we had a delightful chat. The lunch arrived and it was the most delisious meal we had in a very long time. Great restaurant and staff. Well done guys.

On the 19th of December I ordered a bacon, avo and feta pizza with extra cheese from the Northriding branch of Del Forno. The avo that was on the pizza was almost black. How the staff thought this was acceptable is beyond my understanding. As a regular customer I will no longer be wasting my money with this brand. I posted the image on their X (Twitter page) and no one reached out with an explanation or apology.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We stopped by with my 6-year-old child who urgently needed to use the toilet. To my shock, the staff refused to let a small child use the restroom unless we bought food first. This is not only unreasonable but incredibly heartless. A basic level of human decency should allow a child in need to use the bathroom, regardless of whether we planned to order or not. Instead, we were met with cold, unhelpful attitudes and a complete lack of compassion. We left immediately. I would never support a place that prioritizes a minor transaction over the dignity and well-being of a child. Extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone. I rushed to next place name Andiccio24. Thanks to the guy who let my child use the restroom. Thaks Andiccio 24 for being helpful.
