Complaint against : Tygerberg Pools & Pools4Us I'd like to make a formal complaint against company: Tygerberg Pools & Pools4us and their staff members : Sureena Arendse, Marie, Jan and Ernest for not having a simple pool repair job completed on a brand newly installed pool since 26 Jan 2022. Details: I had a new pool installed which my installer ordered from his supplier Tybergpools & Pools4us and within 2 days after the installation, 2 cracks developed on the steps. I contacted the installer and he advised me to contact his supplier of the pool which is “Tygerberg Pools / Pools4us” to arrange for a repair with his supplier. My installer quickly got a representative from Tybergberg pools who happened to be in the area at the time named “Jan”, from the company to quickly come out for an assessment and according to Jan, the repair could be done quite quickly and easily underwater so all I needed to do was to set up an appointment with the office which I did straight away on the 26 Jan 2022. Unfortunately ever since that day, after making multiple attempts (since 26th January 2022) to set up an appointment with the company since the pool was installed and until today, 31st May 2022, I've received NO response to set up an appointment to have the pool repaired, none. When I do get any form of email feedback, they (Sureena) keep saying that they're full and will get back to me when they can and that the repair guy Ernst will get to me when he can. He never did. This was the ongoing response for months now. I've been more than patient accepting excuses over the months but it's time this issue gets reported and hopefully resolved and thats why I’m resorting to reviewing the company as this type of approach of ghosting clients for repairs is unprofessional and unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated in today's working climate. All that is required is a simple repair (apparently it won't take longer 15 min) on two cracks in a newly installed pool which shouldn't take over 5 months to complete. Very very disappointed in the services of this company.

Where to begin! I contacted them Dec 2021 for two holes in my pool (which they are the suppliers of and was installed in May 2021) so that they can come and fix it asap before it gets ****se. People never got back to me untill I rated them on Hello Peter in April. After that, a lady contacted me to set up a date for people to come out and assess the holes…now they keep on rescheduling a team to come and fix it as they don’t have enough people on hand. This is shocking and so unprofessional…I don’t know how they keep their doors open with this bad services that they are not providing?

The Cape Town branch of Pools 4 Us and Tygerberg Pools offers customer service that is nothing short of abuse. Barbara (the agent from Tygerberg Pools) took unprofessional to a whole new level; 1. I had to follow up with her after having no correspondence for about 2 months, only to find out that they were battling to find where the sanitation pipes were running. When I followed up Mari (the office admin assistant from Polls 4 Us) told me the problem, so I went down to the council and got the map for them. The gentleman who helped me at sanitation got the map very easily, he simply opened an email that he had previously sent to Pools 4 Us and there it was! When I asked Mari about this she said that she had only received it late that afternoon. The joke is that the guys from sanitation leave the office at 10:30 am and are on site the rest of the day – making Mari’s story – exactly that - a ‘story’! 2. It then took a further months wait before the pool could be installed. 3. Barbara then ordered the incorrect pool, and gave us another story, so there was a further delay. Her staff loved it though they spent most of the day sleeping and playing on their phones. 4. She NEVER arrived when she said she would, sometimes a few hours late, sometimes days late. 5. She seldom responded to emails, she NEVER lets you know if there is a problem, so you find you have to constantly follow her up and when asked about her incompetence she blames everything and anything excluding herself. 6. My husband took leave from work so that he could let her in to complete the job, and she did not bother to let us know she was no longer coming (she still has not come – 2 days later)! 7. She did not arrange for timeous rubble removal and I subsequently lost my grass and the sand blew into the pool at least an inch thick (we were scooping it out with buckets), not to mention the amount of cardboard in the pool and filter. 8. Her staff broke my garden fencing. 9. Her staff left cigarette butts and rubbish all over my garden, which blew into the pool. 10. Her staff messed around with my borehole, so that I had to get it fixed. 11. The creepy crawly they supplied did not work, probably due to the amount of trash that was in the pool, and I am STILL waiting for them to fix it. 12. I must say that once she realised just how angry we were with her, she did try to contact us and arrange a meeting, except sadly she was not able to work around our times (her terms or the highway). Truly, do yourself a favour; avoid this company like the plague!
