Towards the end of last year I was forced to migrate my home telephone and ADSL service onto fibre. On the 2nd of December 2021 I went online and cancelled the phone service but wanted to retain the internet connection. The phone service was still operational in early Feb 2022. I went to a Telkom front office at Hemmingways and left after 30 minutes in the line. When I got home I went back online and requested once again for the phone service to be disconnected. Three days later both the phone and internet went off. When I inquired I was told both services had been discontinued and that I should reapply for the internet service. I duly did this online and received a text that someone would contact me within 5 days. I am still waiting!! What a useless SOE Telkom has become. It falls within the ranks of all the other failed SOE's. The organisation is a farce with inexperienced staff. So here I am weeks later with still no service!
I purchased 3 Sinotec TV's from the East London branch of HI FI Corp ob 14/12/2015. A five year warranty was provided with the sets. One went faulty and was sent into HI FI Corp East London on 26/9/17. We have sent several times for the set only to be told:- 1. It went to the wrong place for repair 2. It's in Port Elizabeth for repair 3. They cant fix the set and it is to be replaced 4. Our sets all sold out on Black Friday and we are waiting for the truck. I contacted the manageress Angela Jacobs on 5/12/17. She said she was unaware of the matter and would revert back. By the 8/12/17 I had not heard from her si I called back and left a message with the operator requesting her to call me. I also left a message online as well. It's now the 12/12/17 and still no word from Hi FI Corp. When you call them on their East London line it rings and rings until the line cuts off. After five attempts the operator finally answered and tried to put me through. Someone picked up and put down cutting me off. Shocking shocking service - I certainly won't ever purchase from them again!

Our company uses Smartsurv tracking on our fleet. In 2014 we had a unit de-installed from a vehicle we sold. Despite numerous requests to the East London office we failed to stop the billing. They claimed they had no record of the removal of the unit. When we finally found our copy and sent it onto them they still failed to stop the charges. Now in 2017 we have finally elicited a response and received a few months credit. They have refused to give the balance of the credits so we have decided to move on and place our business elswhere. Not a pleasant ending to a business relationship and we certainly won't recommend their services.
