Hiring a car, service good BUT forget about getting credit card hold cleared. I still have a hold from 17 November and 24 November. I would not recommend Avis as after service is shocking with no effort to respond or assist.
We rented a Toyota fortuner at OR Tambo last night. The car would not start. We logged a call at 7 am for assistance. A tow truck arrived after 9:30 to take the car away. In the 7 am call we had requested a lift to or tambo to get another car as they did not have 2 drivers to bring us a car. We assumed they would fetch the car and provide the lift. We kept calling for the lift. We had to fight to get an uber and at 1115 we got an uber outside the place which was beaten up and the driver was not even dressed properly. How do you treat your customers if you don’t even consider their safety. Eventually we ordered our own uber black who fetched us at 11:30. In all the years of hiring cars, I don’t think there has been a worse experience. Do not use this car rental.
I trusted in the name, please do not make the same mistake as me. My money was disinvested incorrectly and out of the SLA. Thank God for my broker James Slabbert picking up a difference to his calculation which showed I was -+ R250,000 short. I would not have picked this up as this is Sanlam Glacier. How many others out there are not aware of mistakes made by administrators? How many others have lost money and wouldn’t know. It’s been about a month of trying to get things resolved and in the last week, the story has changed from we are recalculating to be we must wait for it to settle. In other words, in this last week they have done nothing. Where is the integrity of Sanlam? I’m now trying to get all my money withdrawn from them, what do you think my chances are? Terribly disappointed.
We have been a very good customer for years and pay R1100 a month. We used to love the service of home-connect and octotel until you need help. Our fiber box was placed on a gate instead of the wall. The gate is being fixed and the fiber box has broken. I logged a call at 830. 917418 call number. I had to insist on a call number as they did not want to log a call until they had done tests. I understand procedure however As much as me telling them that the fiber is broken at the source and sending photos, I have now dealt with 3 different agents and all is a different story and they work from home so I can’t talk to a manager and they are still within the call time. So who knows if a call has been logged to octotel for a technician to come out? I have sent emails to say there is no cell reception at home so there is no point calling me. It seems the contents of emails are ignored too.
I am an avid @home shopper for years. I received the most shocking parcel broken open from BASH and contents within are dirty and threads caught. The parcel contents are just under R3000 in value. I was forced to use BASH to exchange 2 curtains. To return the curtains for another colour where the constantia branch cannot receive from other branches so an e card was created and a bash order done. Absolutely shocking the state of the parcel and the contents.
<p>A few months ago, I received a new card from Discovery couriers, they arrived with card and took away a copy of my ID and utility bill. A week later the account was frozen due to not receiving my FICA documents, yet they collected it when they collected the card. Today I receive a call from FNB about my Discovery credit card so first of all, how bad is that, that you get a call from another bank that you dont even have an account with but who has all your private information, then I ask the guy, will they sort out the FICA and he says no, you must call another department.</p> <p>Discovery you should not outsource your cards to FNB unless your plan is to lose all your customers and trust in you.</p> <p>Cherina</p>
