My boss was in a car accident and was offered a courtesy car via our insurance policy. BLUU Car rental supp**** the courtesy car, and a large part of the bill was paid via the insurance claim and there were 4 extra days until his damaged car repairs were completed. All of the charges (including the 4 extra days) were billed and paid. There was NO additional driver (which we have also been billed for), and the only reason I was listed on the invoice is because my boss was not available to personally receive the car when it was delivered. We then receive a duplicate invoice for the 4 additional days, ALREADY billed and settled and its been an absolute nightmare trying to get somebody to rectify their mistake. And to top it all off, I am now personally receiving threatening texts and messages that I will be blacklisted if the duplicate 4 extra days invoice is not settled.

Received a very good service from a very honest staff member . Mr Tiane Maswangwanye called me after dropping off their car to let me know that some of my valuables are still in their car. I find this unbelievable as this were small gadgets that are very expensive. And they are my tools of trade. I once left them in a vehicle which belonged to another car rental company and i had to replace them as i never got them back . Thank you Bluu car rental for employing the likes of Tiane and thank you very much Tiane for doing what you do best!!!

Received a very good service from a very honest staff member . Mr Tiane Maswangwanye called me after dropping off their car to let me know that some of my valuables are still in their car. When I collected the car I very diligently checked the car and marked allot of damage on their check sheet. There was allot of damage to the undercarriage on the left side of the car which we marked. Then when I returned the car i was accused of Damaging the car. The main thing they pointed out was a black plastic mud screen underneath the hood close to the left front wheel. This is exactly where the damage was when I collected the car. Then they went further and accused me of some black plastic cover under the car that is supposedly not there anymore. I asked them to show me this panel on another(same model) car they have. They then took me to that car and it also had no cover because it never came out with that cover. So falsely accused. I will never recommend Bluu Car Rental to anyone because they treat their customers as ********s whereas they are the true ********s who exploit people at every oppertunity.

Horrible administration, i've hired a car pickup time was 09h00 and drop-off 10h00, I was helped at 10h45 and on revised contract they didn't revised drop-off time and I arrived at 10h00. Next thing I was charged for dropping off early hence it's not written on their contract. I complaint to their customer care they handed me over to their attorneys. Secondly they charge 2 customer for 1 damages when request to split the bill they refused.which means they already sharing the other claim.

Booked Cape Town Airport, 7-day rental. Toyota Urban Cruiser (4 of us with luggage). Car was fine. Returned on time with full tank. All good I thought... Had paid Booking.com R3.5K for booking. Blu took another R8K on pickup (I assumed deposit) and another R.5K a few weeks later (card deduction no explanation). So R12K for the weeks rental.. so far Last time I go near this company.

Problem with this is that Bluu Car Rental makes renting a car a very stressful experience with delays in refunds, taking money from accounts, accusing renters of damaging cars when they have not done so and then sending threatening SMS for damages etc. Really poor service all around - not one rental experience has been without some problem of some sorts.

Problem with this is that Bluu Car Rental makes renting a car a very stressful experience with delays in refunds, taking money from accounts, accusing renters of damaging cars when they have not done so and then sending threatening SMS for damages etc. Really poor service all around - not one rental experience has been without some problem of some sorts.

I booked a car from OR Tambo on December 23rd to 27th, 2025. All was well, and we travelled without any problems. I returned the car on the 27th to the Randburg branch, but to my surprise, five days later I received a call from Bluu Randburg telling me the car had damage. I was surprised because I know I didn't hit anything or bump into anything. I requested pictures and the footage as I was told scratch was captured by a camera when I entered the gate to drop off the car. But when I got there I was shown the footage of the 29th when the employee was reversing the car. I demanded the one for the 27th when I dropped the car. They played it several times and zoomed it, but there was no damage; the employee insisted it was not visible because it was raining on the day and also because of the camera pixels. They gave me an insurance forms to complete. Bluu car rental is surely a ****. I was expecting my refund and now the want to take all my money.
