I requested a quote for 4 lanyards. The print estimator send me a quote for 100 lanyards. I asked if 100 lanyards are the minimum quantity. He replied with another email saying that the bare minimum is 20. So the next Monday I went to the shop paid for 20 lanyards along with 100 Business cards. They sent me emails saying that artwork will be sent to me for approval before print. On Thursday, I followed up to find out about the artwork and when I can expect it. They informed me that they will not be able to print 20 lanyards. So I requested a refund for the 20 lanyards, since I do not have money for 100 and they did initially say that they can print 20. They have now requested a bank statement as proof of payment for the lanyards although I did present my slip confirming payment. The service is terrible. They do not know what goes on in their own business and charge people for something they can't even deliver. And now I have to jump through al these hoops to get my money back.
<p>In June this year I took out a life policy with Discovery. I selected an option without Vitality. When my first payment went through I found that they added the vitality anyway which made the monthly premium higher. I contacted discovery and after nearly a 2 moths struggle they managed to cancel the vitality, but suddenly my policy according to them has been active since August although I have been paying for the policy since June. Recently I have been retrenched and my employer cancelled my medical aid with discovery. Shortly after this, I received an email informing me that my life policy will go up and Vitality will be added because of this. On the 10th of October, I contacted Discovery and requested the policy to be cancelled. I was informed that I have to send through a cancellation letter, which I did that same day. It has been 8 days since I sent through the cancellation letter. No one has phoned me regarding the cancellation yet. Today an agent phoned me informing me that I am in arrears. I would like someone to please tell me why I am in arrears, why my policy start date shows 1st of August even though I have been paying for it since June and why my policy has not been cancelled as I requested. I have never had so much issues or such astonishing pathetic service from any institution.</p>
<p>I paid up my outstanding balance, but the installement are still being deducted. Now I have to go to the bank to reverse the debit order or send my bank statements to RCS so that they can do a refund. I am not going to do all the work for a mistake they did. Action please.</p>
<p>I contacted discovery on the 5t of May to take out a life policy. I was sent a quote on the 13th for the monthly amount of R203.15 which I accepted. On the 1st of June my first debit order went through for the amount of R402.15. I contacted Discovery querying the R402.15 which they informed me was for the added service of vitality. I informed them that I did not ask or sign for the vitality to be added. I was told that they will look into to problem and get back to me. I have been calling Discovery for 2 month now regarding the cancellation of the Vitality and was promised feedback by several people, but nothing happeded. I was also ensured that the problem was infact resolved at one stage, but again I followed up to make sure everyting was in order and was told that the vitality was still linked to my policy. I keep getting empty promises from them and absolute no feedback and I am sick and tired of their lack of service. I have also asked for the call recordings between me and Discovery, but this was also ignored. I my experience they are quick to respond to new business, but once they have you in the bag, you do not get any service. </p>
