Standard bank is really in a downward spiral. In November I tried to do a direct bank payment to my partner's FNB account that did not go through, because, according to them I did it outside their business hours. I sgain made another payment to the same account, in businesd hours, it also came back for unknown reasons. I the tried to pay a supplier of leather goods, it said the payment didnt go through, I paid it again, just to see later that both payments went through, but they then corrected it themselves. I lost my debit card on holiday, stopped the card and I asked and was charged for a new issue. Two days later I went in to get and activate the new one. The same day at 17h00 I tried to use the card without success. I realised I took all funds out of this card, transfered some funds, no luck. I checked on line, the card is active but it does not work. Sis man, I am ashamed to say I am a Standard bank customer. I mentioned my displeasure on twitter, a FNB rep says I must join them, he will do everything to get my little bit of business. Its disgusting
I bought online a data package fm Telkom this morning. R149 for 10gigs for 31 days. I received a sms fm Telkom to confirm that the purchase was done via credit card. It does not reflect on my account yet and when I try to go to their chat room, I dont get a connection. Maybe they dont work on xmas day, but they took my money non the less. Doesnt sound right to me
I wrote to Holiday Club twice and received "tickets" on both occasions that the matter will receive attention. So far no response. I am a pensioner and cannot afford paying membership and maintenance fee any longer. With the rising costs of petrol and the increasing cost of living it is not possible to travel as before. In their membership section they warn against scammers when u want to sell your points, and at the same make themselves available to assist members in this regard. Some assistance.
I have been a RCS customer for quite some time. I have not used my card for a while, but last Friday when I swiped the RCS card to shop, the transaction was declined.. I went to Game to enquire what was wrong and the call centre operator told me the card was blocked. I was told I need to send a copy of my ID with a sample of my signature on it. I am told on a monthly basis via emails from RCS that I have money available depending on my credit limit, but I was never informed that my card is blocked. I cant understand that I identified myself with a legal ID at a Game counter, answered all the questions like cell phone number, email address etc and must still send an ID with a signature.
I reported a price tag issue, they didnt even bother to respond
I phoned Telkom 081180 to cancel my contract, it says I must send a written cancellation to BusinessMobile@telkom.co.za. I also tried to use the Telkom app to try and cancel. They let me know twice that a fault has been cancelled and the matter is closed. When I try again, unexpected error, try again later. After I wrote a letter of cancellation, I received a notification instructing me to write to the address above which I done already. I will now stop paying the account and see where it takes me.
I used Thrifty on many occations in the past without quiries or disputes. I used them in January of 2021 again, and during the trip I damaged the bottom sill under the right hand door and dented it very lightly. On arrival back at their depot at Johannesburg international, I informed them of the damage, well knowing I forfeited the holding deposit. Now, more than 6 months down the line I receive a notification that there is R1060 outstanding on the damage, it will be debited to my card account, and if not paid, it will be handed to the collections department
I went to Absa Cape Gate to get my credit card that was up for renewal. I arrived at 15h20 all the way from Somerset West and was told the bank closes at 15h30, while the notice outside says 16h00. It is no wonder that the bank has such a low rating by its customers. I don't think they will miss my little bit of business, so I will pay off the card and go somewhere else like Capitec, who has a record for the fastest growing bank around here.
I went to ABSA bank at Cape Gate today at 15h40 to get a new card because my old card expired last month. At the door I was told admissions closed at 15h30, yet the hours for banking clearly shows from 09h00 to 16h00.. I asked permission at work in Somerset West to leave earlier so that I can get to the bank in time, just to be told that I am too late. Thank you ABSA. No wonder your ratings are so low as a banking institution. Cheers. Keep your card, keep your credit facilities. I will pay what I owe you and then it is goodbye.
We received one consignment from Courier Guy, but we are charged twice. When I challenged them, they answered that we are billed for both, as if we did not know that already. I gave the numbers of both consignment notes, one for economy one for overnight, but they are not interested in the explanation. It also does not help to ask for proof of delivery, because they scan old signatures onto their system. without a physical signature. The irony is that the document that accompanied the parcel clearly states it is economy delivery, but the second document for the same delivery is overnight charges.
