I purchased 2 items from Woolworths on 28/09/2024. On 02/10 I returned 1 item for credit and paid for the second item. According to them if you have an outstanding balance on the 15 of the month they charge a fee of R 47.50. My account had a nil balance on the 2nd, but they still charged me the R47.50. I have been trying since I received my October account to get it sorted, but unfortunately no seems to know what to do. I have been to the branch and called their accounts dept without any luck. Woolworths is making a killing with their accounts, besides having to pay interest on outstanding balances, you now have to fork out an additional R47.50 per month.
I purchased a pair of Vogue sunglasses in May 2017. Earlier this month 2 of the *****s securing the 1 arm fell out. i was told to contact their repair centre which I did on 17/01/2019. I was sent and incident no. and a form to complete & return together with photo's, which I did the same day. I have sent numerous email, which they delete without reading. I phoned on 25/01/19 @11h12 & spoke to Ronan, He confirmed that my documents had been received and promised to investigate and call be back within 90min. I am still waiting on feedback !!
Financial advisers will always ask if you have a Woolworths card, then tell you to settle and close it immediately. Now i really understand why. Even though they advertise 55 days interest free, that is not the case. I settled my a/c on 31.12.2017, made 2 purchases on 31.12.17 + 15.01.18. Then made 2 payments on 01.02.18 + 19.02.18, which left me with a nil balance after a total of 50 days. Yet they still charged me interest of R 8.06 + R 14.31 . The mind boggles just thinking how they are ripping off people who have large outstanding balances every month.
On 03.10.17 I ordered an '8000 MAH ULTRA SLIM POWER BANK, ' as advertised in their daily email which was delivered on 06.10.2017. Instead of a slimline power bank, I received a 'short chunky' power bank. I went onto their website to log a return, but could not find a link to do so. I then emailed them on numerous occasions (06.10.17; 10.10.17; 11.10.17; 12.10.17; 13.10.17; 16.10.17 & 18.10.17) requesting the process for logging a return. I have to date still not received a response.
<p>I have been contacting Vodacom since the end of October to sort out my account. I had a Smart M contract, which included a handset @ R608.50 pm. The handset was fully paid in Aug, so my instalment should have been R358.50pm X 2 = R717.00. Instead they deducted R354.65 + R386.50 = R741.15 (o/charged R24.15)</p> <p> </p> <p>I then upgraded my contract online in October. as per Vodacom’s policy, when upgrading online you are not charged the admin fee of R150. I have been contacting them since I viewed my invoice online and saw that they charged me the R150. At the end of Nov they deducted R458.50 i.s.o. R308.50. I kept getting sms's saying my query had been escalated.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Monday 05.12.16 I got an sms to say my query had been solved. I have checked my bank account, and nothing has been refunded.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you owe them R1 they will make sure that they deduct it. I want to know how their accounts dept operates. They owe me R174.15 now. How long must I wait for my refund ?</p> <p> </p>
<p>My account had a '0' balance when I purchased & paid for a pants for R249.95 on 21.05.16. I returned it on 28.05.16 for a different pair costing R279.95, which I also returned. So I should have a '0' balance again !! According to them I owe them R30.00. When I went to Blue Route on 08.07.16 to query it a lady at Customer Care made a call and spoke to Thami (Ref ********** 687644) who promised to reverse it within a couple of days.</p> <p>Today I received another account still with a R30.00 o\s bal. I called Head office ********** 442 & spoke to Kribashnee who said that the store should reverse it. I tried calling Blue Route Branch but nobody answers. I called HO again to find out they had another number for Blue Route branch and spoke to Princess did not know where or what Blue Route Branch was & who said that i must pay it as I owe them R30.00. I need to know what the R30.00 is for if I returned both pairs of pants!</p>
