What a nightmare! I booked my tickets last year with Travelstart and then the pandemic hit us with a blow. My sister that booked the same time as me got a full refund for her tickets. Me... I am loosing over R12000. I have to book my tickets before the 31st of March 2021 and be finished traveling by 31 October 2021. Have they helped me in any way? Yes, by just giving me bad news over and over again. I went to the airlines website and there was options for refunds and vouchers to be used later on, did I get any of those options? No. There is NO logic with anyone you work with at Travelstart. And then they don't take any phone calls and you have to chat with them via their website. WHAT A JOKE!!! I was lucky to get someone once and that was just as useless as not getting someone at all. I have been waiting 30min now for someone to chat with. I will NEVER use Travelstart again.
I bought my new camera and lens from Foto Digital World on the 31st of August 2017. There was something wrong with the photo's as there was a pink line around everything on my pictures. I went back to them to find out what I can do. I first spoke to Wynand who said I must take picture and send it to him and then we can go from there. I did just than via email (12 October 2017) and asked him what the road forward is going to be. I did not receive any response even after again asking on the 16th of October. So I phoned and was then told that I need to bring in the camera. When I got to the shop Phillip assisted me (27 October 2017) and he told me that it will take 2 weeks then I will have my camera and my lens back in time for our holiday. I phoned in 2 weeks time with "they will phone me back" - that never happened!!! So on 27 November, one month later, I phone again and again was told they would phone me back as they did not have any feedback. Jokes on me as again they did not phone back. They contacted me the first time on the 30th of November and told me my lens is back I can pick it up. I asked then that I would like to have both back. I again phoned on the 1st of December and was told that the did receive my camera. I asked them to test my camera, for which the answer was that they are to busy (doing nothing) and they will not test it I must come and pick it up. As any normal person would see red as their service is the worst, I did raise my voice because up to that point they are not helpful at all. I was told by Phillip that my camera and lens is fixed. I collected my camera and lens and nothing was fixed! The problem is still there! They now want me to take it back again. I can't believe that they are still in busy with the bad attitude and poor service. I now need to take my camera and lens to someone else to try and help me get it fixed, because these people don't want to help me get my camera working. It is the most money I have every spent on a camera and I have nothing to show for it.
<p>I placed an order on the 14th of December 2016 and today (4 January 2017) I have still not received the parcel. I phoned in the past 3weeks almost everyday to get hold of this package. +-1 weeks into this joke the lady said "The package will be delivered before 5 today" (I was told this everyday before this day as well). I phoned after 5 and was then told that the package (outside box) was damaged and they took it back to the warehouse.</p> <p>I phoned today again and was told that they lost my package in the warehouse and will not be able to deliver. HUH???!!!! I was then told that the items that I ordered is not in stock and therefore I need to order something else (my sons bday pressie) in the meantime they will deliver this when they have stock again!!!!! And everyone has +-R800 just in you bank account to buy another present because someone did not do their job.</p> <p>The lady said she will phone me back today still to update me on if they could find my parcel in the warehouse.</p> <p>First question - is there no system in the warehouse? How can a package just be lost?</p> <p>Second question - how can you expect someone to just be fine with you *****ing up and then expect them to buy something else from you? and with what money? Are you going to send me a voucher to buy my sons second bday present from you? And the still send me my ordered goods or are they just going to stay lost?</p> <p>Third question - how are you going to make this right? I have always been a loyal takealot buyer but at this stage I am just a very unhappy person who feels that you just don't cut it anymore.</p>
