I recently bought a camera from Foto Digital World and was assisted by Philip Turnbull. He was extremely helpful and gave professional and informative advice on the best purchase for my needs at the best price. I received exceptional service by receiving my order timeously and got a thorough explanation on the use of the camera. I would definitely recommend Philip Turnbull at Foto Digital World for future camera and equipment purchases. Thank you Philip for making it a pleasant experience.

I recently bought a camera from Foto Digital World and was assisted by Philip Turnbull. Their service levels are way below pathetic! Handed in two binoculars on the 10th of February 2020. We had to contact them in July to enquire about the items and went to collect the apparent serviced binoculars on the 11th of July 2020. They could not provide a job card for the service but we still had to pay a random amount for the cleaning and servicing of the binoculars. No reply to my emails requesting the job cards so that we could at least confirm that it was in fact serviced (received the binoculars back in the same state that we handed it in, not even cleaned) - had to physically go to their shop where, once after demanding a job card, they just printed their own job card on their letterhead - could not provide me with the service supplier's job card. BE WARNED, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

Terrible, terrible service at Foto Discount World which trades as Foto Digital World. I should’ve know when I first purchased my Canon printer from them and they kept delaying the delivery date that I’m dealing with people who have no respect for consumers. When my printer started giving me problems 3 months after the purchase I sent it back to them because it’s still under warranty. It’s the 19 of June today and I sent my printer in on the 18th of March but to date there’s no feedback on when my printer will be ready. I keep calling to find out but I get the same response: either “Herman will call you back” or “We’ll find out from Canon and let you know”. Not one has anyone called me back out of the +8 times that I’ve called. I think they’ve stolen my printer. What other explanation is there if they don’t call me back and never have an answer when I call? I want my money back or a new printer but they said “No”.

I recently purchased photographic equipment from the above mentioned company. The sales person I dealt with was Frikkie Venter. I actually would not want to call him a sales person because his knowledge of the products I purchased was phenomenal. He is much more than a sales person. The experience doing business with this shop was absolutely great. I can recommend for anybody wanting to buy camera equipment to give them a try. And the bonus was that their prices are very good compared to other shops.

I bought my new camera and lens from Foto Digital World on the 31st of August 2017. There was something wrong with the photo's as there was a pink line around everything on my pictures. I went back to them to find out what I can do. I first spoke to Wynand who said I must take picture and send it to him and then we can go from there. I did just than via email (12 October 2017) and asked him what the road forward is going to be. I did not receive any response even after again asking on the 16th of October. So I phoned and was then told that I need to bring in the camera. When I got to the shop Phillip assisted me (27 October 2017) and he told me that it will take 2 weeks then I will have my camera and my lens back in time for our holiday. I phoned in 2 weeks time with "they will phone me back" - that never happened!!! So on 27 November, one month later, I phone again and again was told they would phone me back as they did not have any feedback. Jokes on me as again they did not phone back. They contacted me the first time on the 30th of November and told me my lens is back I can pick it up. I asked then that I would like to have both back. I again phoned on the 1st of December and was told that the did receive my camera. I asked them to test my camera, for which the answer was that they are to busy (doing nothing) and they will not test it I must come and pick it up. As any normal person would see red as their service is the worst, I did raise my voice because up to that point they are not helpful at all. I was told by Phillip that my camera and lens is fixed. I collected my camera and lens and nothing was fixed! The problem is still there! They now want me to take it back again. I can't believe that they are still in busy with the bad attitude and poor service. I now need to take my camera and lens to someone else to try and help me get it fixed, because these people don't want to help me get my camera working. It is the most money I have every spent on a camera and I have nothing to show for it.

I ordered a Samsung 24inch TV on 13th Feb 2015. Three weeks later and after many phone calls I have not receive my order. I have been given the run around saying that the money was not received from PayFast or the order was not received from the supplier Samsung Jo.burg. At no stage have Foto Digital apologised or made any effort to contact me giving an indication as to when the matter will be resolved.
