I went to the Greenstone Telkom store to enter into a contract for a WiFi 4G router with data. Before I went into the store, I checked to see if we would receive signal based on where we stay, we were within the signal range. Before I entered into the contract, I asked if we don’t receive signal for whatever reason can I return & cancel the contract, I was told yes. I went home, the router didn’t work, we didn’t have signal so the next day I returned to the store & told them that I have no signal & would like to cancel the contract, this was not even 24hours later. I had my sister in law with me as a witness, where the lady serving us went to the back room spoke to someone & came out & said my contract was cancelled. I asked her to write her name down on the top of my copy of the contract & to say that the contract was cancelled. I actually have a recording of the lady saying that the contract was cancelled so Telkom can check the time & date & the name of the lady I spoke to. I returned the router at the same time as the contract was supposedly cancelled. Therefore I don’t have the router nor have I been receiving the service. I was actually having my baby that Friday after the contract had been cancelled & hadn’t checked my bank account as I was preoccupied with a new born baby however I have since noticed on my bank account that Telkom has been illegally deducting money from my bank account since January this year. If my money is not refunded to me & the contract is not cancelled, I will be sueing Telkom and taking them to court for breaching the consumer protection act.
TT Connect arranged to install our fibre line in March, after installing the fibre, it did not work. I then tried for about 2 months to get someone out to get our fibre working to no avail and I eventually gave up with the numerous emails and phone calls as it appears as if everyone is more than eager to come and install the fibre line but when it comes to after sales service and making sure the fibre actually works, it is shocking, no one cares whether it works or not as long as it is installed and the company gets their money. I feel it is about time someone reported companies like this to ICASA because it is unacceptable that we as customers have to pay for a service that we have not actually received. I have not had one day of internet since the fibre was installed and no one has come back to me. It is about time that TT Connect started caring about their clients and after sales service.

It is pathetic how you do not allow us to cancel on the website. There are articles showing you do have a button to cancel or skip a month but not in my account (as per screen shot). It shows no subscriptions yet money keeps going out my account. I find it ridiculous how you make it so difficult to cancel, its as if you do it on purpose to keep taking money from people until we have to go out our way to email you. This type of online communication is way out dated which means it was meant specifically by yourselves to make it as complicated as possible. It's EXTREMELY easy when you take our money, but to stop is the opposite. There are numerous complaints online and yet nothing is done to resolve it and keep your customers happy, but instead arrogantly just refer people to your T&C's page. I thought this was a great idea until now, and on top of this I haven't received a crate since end of November. I will NEVER refer a friend or anyone for that matter to LOOT CRATE or should I say LOOT our pockets.
