All potential tenants please be cautious before booking, this guest house is an absolute FRAUD!!! We booked one of the private rooms for peace and quietness months before. Here is here a true reflection of our experience and the corrupt management. 1. We arrived and was told our room book was not available, it was taken by someone else on a long lease 2. Before showing rooms, you had to complete and sign forms and make final payment- BIG MISTAKE 3. The Marietjie van der Walt (owner) turns up and pressurises us to make massage and dinner bookings. After 3 times saying we will think about she kept on trying saying her staff is great etc etc. Just cheap behaviour. 4. We were adamant to go and see our room. After 10 minutes, we were taken to private area to see room but were not allowed in as cleaners were busy cleaning. The private area was rundown, tired, smelly and dusty, it looks as if it’s not been spring cleaned or maintained for years. Disgusting!! Not at all what is shown on the web-site pictures. 5. We decided to go for lunch and return in 2 hours to allow for our room to be cleaned. 6. When we returned we were shocked how dusty the room was. Complete out dated with algae growing on the bathroom tiles. Within 10 minutes we went back to reception and asked our money back due to the room being dirty and dusty. Not good for someone with asthma conditions. 7. We were told to return the next day the person working in the office was not available. 8. After many phone calls and chatting to Marietjie Van der Walt many times no avail of a refund. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BOOKING AT ILLYRIA HOUSE. This place is: • DIRTY • POORLY MAINTANED • OWNED BY A PUSH WOMAN THAT DOES NOT TAKE NO IF NOT INTERESTED ON THEIR EXTRAS • TIRED AND OLD ROOMS • DIRTY BATHROOMS FROM THE 70s WITH ALGE GROWING ON TILES • GARDEN NOT CLEANED AND MAINTAINED • MONEY GRABBERS

Honestly, there is no hope for this company. Take my advice and do not join their LTE.

I am paying for 100MPs but only get 1MPs. I have called more than 20 times for a technician to come out but no avail. Each time you call you get a new reference number and now have numerous reference no's but nobody follows up. The query is now 9 weeks old.

You call and get transferred between 4 departments and no one is able to action the query.

To make it even worse. I realised yesterday I am charged 60% more for the service than what the contract stipulates. This is what I call STEALING! Taking money for a service that's not provided and taking more than what's agreed.

If any legal advisors read this, please get in touch.

It is now two weeks since our LTE went life. We pay R999per month and are suppose to get 100MPs, the highest speed so far has been 13MPs.

This is daylight robbery, How can you pay for a Porsche and get a Mazda?

It's time to cancel the contract, very poor service. You call daily and no action is taken.

ALL READERS, DO NOT JOIN TELKOM LTE IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

Telkom reference no **********

It's now WEEK 4 dealing with a complete DYSFUNCTIONAL TELKOM…

Here’s the run down…

1. I responded to a Telkom add on their official website for a Telkom worker to get in touch. The worker will come out to my residence and explain/ test the new LTE service provided by Telkom

2. One week wait and no reply. I make contact again on the same web-site

3. Ten days since original request, no feedback

4. The I wrote a note on HelloPeter… 1 day later I get a standardized reply on HelloPeter someone is looking into the case and will get in touch soon

5. 24hrs later and still no contact from Telekom

6. Then some replies to my HelloPeter column from Telkom for my ID no. and reference no…I replied that the online service did not ask my ID and did not give me a reference no. All I had to provide was my phone number. On my response I suggest to the person from Telkom that someone pick up the phone and get in touch

7. I then drove to Hatfield Telkom to speak to customer service. The lady informed me Telkom online ‘issues’ cannot be dealt with them and I should call Telkom online.

8. Then 2 days later Telkom calls for the first time, 3 weeks since I made contact online. I was driving and could not take the call. Telkom was kind to send a sms afterwards with a email address to contact them. God give me strength... The email address provided by Telkom was incorrect and bounced back

9. Two days later… Telkom calls and I take the call. I was asked my ID no and a reference no. As previously mentioned I was never provided a reference number but gave them my ID no. The lady informed me someone will call me back straight away… It’s now one week later and still no call…

Can anyone try and explain how there could be hope for a country when communication is vital and them main telecom communication network provider is completely dysfunctional?

I was keen to join the LTE Internet service.

On Telkom's LTE web-site, I numerous times and completed the online forms for an agent to visit me at home OR to get in touch. It's weeks now without any luck.

1. What is the purpose of developing a web-site to improve communication and no one responds to online requests?

2. This is clearly a sign that if you join Telkom internet, and a problem pops up, you will struggle with custmer service to respond...

Why is it so hard to understand the importance of GOOD Customer Service?

My mother is nearing 80 y.o. with signs of dementia and Parkinson's. We got her a special phone from Norway that is easy to use for people with Parkinson/ shaking.

18 months ago Vodacom (online) sold her a mobile phone. When my brother and I found out we went through great lengths to get it cancelled but we had no luck and are still paying for the contract although she is not using the phone or phone no.

Recently the same has happened, Vodacom (online) sold her a second contract and now she is paying for two phones and neither can be used. Again we are going through every effort to get it cancelled and returned but we are pushed between Sales department/ after sales / customer service departments and shops without any joy. Neither can help and just push the bucket along...

I am utterly disappointed with Vodacom and can't believe a company can go SO LOW!! for an R50/ month contract.

Can Senior management please explain to me their company values?
