I had the worst experience since I have been with Miway and will not recommend anyone to sign up with Miway. The new claim consultant Candice Lawson that was handling my claim is never available and replies days or even a week after you send an email. Most of the time even when you call in no one can assist and you are referred to different departments and eventually get cut off. I am very disappointed in the service I received from Miway after being with them over 13yrs. I am busy looking to move my business to a new company. Miway is a total waist of my time
I am with Miway over 10years and had been a loyal client. MIWAY has given me Excellent service over the years at an affordable premium. I have recommended Miway to allot of my friends and family members and would recommend it to anyone
My experience was excellent today with Delton Jacob's

I have a 2016 1.5 EcoBoost Trend A/T which currently had overheating problems and I took the vehicle to Ford to check it out. The found blown headgasket and water and oil mixing. Vehicle failed compression test. Ford approved new engine to be fitted under warranty, but will not give a guarantee on the new engine , it will unfortunately fall under the current warranty that expires next year 23 June 2021. See feedback below from dealership Good day Mr Albany Re : engine replacement of Ford Kuga Apologies for the lack in feedback and delayed response on your vehicle authorization , we are currently implementing a new system and have been on the back foot majority of the week . This is no excuse and should not affect communication with you as the customer ) the engine replacement was approved on the 10-08-2021 and order for a new engine placed on the same day we are expecting the new engine on the 16-08-2021 ) Once all the parts and the engine are in stock it will take 72hours / 3days to put everything together , start and test the vehicle so E.T.A. on completion of vehicle is Friday 20-08-2021 this is based on past similar repairs and my change but all changes will be relayed to you accordingly ) in terms of the cause of failure I have included the PRIOR APPROVAL INFORMATION form which has the cause as failure as per the technician and is the information we have provided to Ford to obtain authorization ) I have also included a compression test which shows the low compression in cylinder number N02 which is the main confirmation of diagnoses carried out to determine engine failure ) On our last telephonic conversation you mentioned that you want for to give you an extended warranty as you were not happy with the fact that a new engine is been fitted and you want an extended plan , unfortunately at dealer level we are unable to assist with at and you would have to raise the matter with Ford SA ) As mentioned previously we will need a few documents to carry out police clearance ( copy of your ID , proof of address and natis/ registration paper of the vehicle ) Once again apologies for the lack of communication this week and going forward I will ensure I update you and as in the past you can call me at anytime or whats app me at anytime as you have done before even after office hours or weekends I am always ready and willing to assist Regards Sizwe Buthelezi SERVICE ADVISOR 2nd reply Good day Mr.Albany Please see below in regards to your e-mail dated the 18th of August 2021 : I spoke to one of the customer care consultants at Ford SA. He said said that most of the Ford Kuga models prior 2017 is experiencing factory problems on the engine hence the recall Ford has done on the Ford Kuga's. I would need more information in regards to the Recall and the bearing on the current failure The Recall which I am assuming that was mentioned was in regards to the cooling pipes leaking which lead to the overheating of the engine As per the diagnoses there was no external coolant leaks Did you guys receive any other Ford Kuga with the same or similar engine problem where the whole engine had to be replaced. And after replacing the engine was there any post repairs issues with those vehicles. Yes , in regards to the whole engine been replaced Warranty approves a new engine and doesn’t follow the lesser repair of remanufacturing the existing components I need as much information as possible to make a informed decision on the matter. I need a Reliable vehicle and cant have the same problem in future. Once The repair is complete the vehicle will be test driven to ensure that the scope of repair is successful , every effort is made to ensure that issues are addressed The above is a snap shot of the vehicles condition at a given point Please advise if a major service will be done on the other engine components and new liquids will be filled like the gearbox oil, transmission oil, anti-freeze refilled. A major service was not performed , items associate to the repair were replaced due to the scope of work required Oil , Oil filter , antifreeze have been replaced however air filer and transmission oil will not be as they do not fall within the repair NB! So now that a new engine is going to be replaced, the current mileage on the vehicle will be incorrect. Will Ford reset the clock or continue with the current mileage. Cause it will effect the service plan I took out on vehicle. Once an engine is replaced or any other aggregate the mileage the vehicle has driven does not get reset , as this would be a fraudulent action The mileage of the odometer is the distance the vehicle has covered and not a particular component The servicing schedule also is not altered and must be carried out as per the service book Kind regards , Bradley Lockhart Service Manager 3rd Reply Good day Mr.Albany Please see below response to the quires raised to the dealership : What car status will be are the new engine is fitten eg, Code 3/Build Up/Rebuild Engine replacement doesn’t alter the Code of the vehicle Code 1 is a new vehicle , Code 2 any pre owned vehicle Code 3 rebuild or altered ie bakkie into tow truck and Code 4 vehicle which may not be re entered onto the E NATIS system. The process is followed with the Licencing Offices to correct the E NATIS system and documents to reflect the new engine number I need to update my insurance and It will affect my premium that is already high, due to Ford Kuga with the burning problem I have no knowledge of a new engine affecting Insurance Premiums , kindly engage with your Insurance institute and provide feedback The new engine come with no warranty and might have the same problem as the previous on that was replace or worse Even with a new engine fitted the Warranty expiry date will remain unaltered With all the repairs done I might encounter new issues with the vehicle Every effort is made to ensure the vehicle repaired successfully , after the engine is replaced a engine coolant test is performed , a road test is conducted and the vehicle is put through quality control before been signed off by the Foreman. I have included Ford South Africa on the mail as you have in your communication as the further concerns raised are directed a the Manufacture : Ford Kuga's bad reputation precedes it and I now have to think of all the risk factors involved for my own safety and the safety of my family. because the vehicle is used daily to transport my wife and kids. I also use the vehicle for business use daily and just the thought of the car catching fire is already a huge negative in my mind. I rather prevent a problem before it turns into something more serious. That said, Ford SA is well aware of the numerous problems and risks with most Ford Kuga's prior 2017 as per reports. I am sure for a whole engine to be replaced, there must have been a huge problem and it will also come with a hefty price tag. I would prefer Ford SA give me an alternative option to rather recall the vehicle and give me trade-in assistance on a model post 2017 in the same category, to give me as a client peace of mind. I am willing to refinance a later model but not exceeding the amount of R220 000 which I currently owe on my vehicle. I would think that would be a reasonable and fair approach to resolve the matter and hope that Ford SA finds my email well and will give a lot of thought to this matter to find common grounds. Kind regards , Bradley Lockhart Service Manager
Rain Internet is slightly better then Telkom ...My biggest problem is that their after service is the worst ever. When they call you to sign on more then 5/6 people call you in one day. When you have network issues no one contacts you for days on end. They sell you a unlimited unthrottle or unshape 5G package with speeds over 10mps-30mps, but my downloading speed don't even reach 5mps and uploading speed less the 2mps very slow for a Premuim R599 package. I hope they get this complaint and respond for a change ...
