I purchased Samsungs latest NEO TV which they advertised that they will provide Soundbar and tablet as redemption gift. I subsequently bought the TV hoping to get the soundbar and tablet. I bought the TV on the 7th of August 2025 and it is now the 18th of September 2025. I have escalated to Samsung only to receive feedback that they have no stock and they do not know when stock will arrive. They simply brush off the request and have no intent in resolving the issue. So DO NOT buy Samsung products when they run any promotions, because it is just false advertising to get you to buy their products instead of their competitors!
It's so true with the ratings of MTN South Africa. Especially thier HOME INTERNET offering. They say its month to month and can cancel anytime, but what they don't tell you is that it is a huge MISSION to be able to cancel and return your router to MTN. They will continue to debit you until you make your own way to figure out how to cancel the services. Firstly MTN does not tell you that you need the original invoice when you return the router if you do not want to use it anymore. Secondly, you can only go to their main store or experience centre to do this, MTN staff working at other smaller stores do not take in or book in the unit, they kick the ball to main store. So you will have to travel to main stores. Thirdly, the customer care do not know what they are doing, I return the device and they dont even know where the device was booked out from and they tell you to phone another "supplier" number. So basically they send you all around the country until you give up. DO NOT USE MTN HOME INTERNET if you want service or proper internet. stay away from MTN HOME INTERNET. its really a huge pain
This company is pure ****, please do not and be careful when you order goods on this platform. I have ordered online and paid for the goods but it never arrived, the customer care number is never attended to but you get an automated response saying the customer care is busy, which is 100% the same regardless what time you call. They will respond back to say that they will process refund, but they will not, I have waited more than 14 working days , actually to be precise I have waited 3 months for my refund and no refund nor communication made since last email which I feel is also automated with same response to everyone. PLEASE read all other reviews of this company and you will see the truth. I am not sure why regulators are not controlling such **** platforms and allowing them to continue to de***** customers!
Please everyone be aware of MTN and their HOME CONNECT INTERNET lack of customer care. MTN allows you to order your HOME CONNECT INTERNET (NOT FIBRE) online and once you put in all your details, you basically have no choice and will be forced to take on the contract after delivery. I app**** online and I got delivery, however the package was not what I wanted and I do not want to be bound by 12 months contract, so immediately the next day I returned the unit with the SIM card fully unopened to the Fourways MTN direct store (not franchise). They booked the unit in and gave me an IRMS number saying I must call MTN customer care to resolve issue. I called and as we all know, they start kicking the ball around saying the store needs to escalate for cancellations and or I have to escalate myself to Channelqueries email to cancel. So I did all that and I get no response from MTN at all. Now come end of month and I get a debit order on me and MTN just forcefully debit my account when I have clearly asked for cancellation. This is against CPA act and the lack of customer care and kicking the ball around is their way of forcefully allowing a debit order to go off your account! PLEASE BE AWARE of MTN and their *****ULENT ACT!
Don't even try to use their delivery service. Once things go wrong they do not give a @#$% about customer satisfaction. Bought ice cream, first time it was delivered on time and still edible but second time I ordered the tub of ice cream has all melted and not edible at all. I called customer care but it just keeps ringing. I also emailed but I don't think anyone responds to the emails or even looks at them. I think just better spend the time and go to the supermarket physically. Or can use Checkers or Woolies Dash, they are more reliable.
