I am a regular customer at dischem and normally do all my purchases at the Century City store . In December 2017 I made a purchase at the store including medication to the value of about a R1000 when I got to the cashier she scanned all of my goods I gave her my card and made payment , it was in the Christmas season so the store was very busy and I could not wait to get out of the mall , so all I id was gave my card paid for my goods and left. More than a year later I received a call from them saying I did not pay for my medication and that I owe them a R1000 I was so shocked that they only calling me now bout this because surely they must have noticed that very day after doing a cash up that the cashier was short on her till , last week I received another call from them saying that if I do not pay they are going to hand me over to their lawyers , they also sent me a text message saying they are going to hand me over to their lawyers . I am so upset and disappointed in them , they are now demanding a R1000 from me now of which do not have my financial status at that time was better but at the moment It has changed . I called the customer service team and and laid a complain last week and the lady advised that she would get the manager of that store to give me a call it is a week later and I received no call from any manager. On wed I went into the Promenade store and spoke to one of the staff at the pharmacy and explained what happened and he advised that it is not my fault the cashier should have checked and made sure she scanned every item in the basket. I am dsgusted in the service my family spend thousands at dischem every year and if this is the way they show how they value their customers then I really don't know. Furthermore yesterday I spoke to a friend of mine whom I told the story only to find out that two week ago the same thing happened to her she was contacted to say she owes Dischem R49 for medication she did not pay , when she went to pay it the explanation was that the cashier did not scan the medication. So I think Dischem should take note of this matter and either introduce a new system , retrain their cashiers or just get other cashiers. I am going to post my story on every available social media platform , this is just ridiculous. I am angry and will not set my foot in dischem again and I will make sure I pass on the word.
Signed up for time shares with them fell behind on my levies received no telephone call from them no messages no correspondence nothing I then purchased POINTS TO THE VALUE OF R5000 from them and only to hear from them that they have cancelled my membership and I have forfeited my points to the value of R5000 now I hear they are selling my points to a new member this is a damn rip off . When I took out the membership they did not send a contract or any terms and conditions at all apparently the lady Karen at Cape Escape who is not so friendly by the way ( she is only friendly when she is taking your money)she advised this morning that you only receive terms and conditions upon requesting it , I have never ever heard such a load of rubbish in my life ever ......... so now I paid R5000 for absolutely nothing ......they are a bunch of scammers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT HAS BEEN DAY 5 TODAY WITHOUT A DROP OF WATER COMING THROUGH OUR TAPS ..... WE HAVE CALLED THE CITY OF CAPE TOWN AND FIND IT TO BE SO SHOCKING WITH THE LACK OF URGENCY THEY APPLY TO SUCH AN URGENT SITUATION .... WATER IS A BASIC NEED OF SURVIVAL WHICH WE PAY FOR AND DO NOT GET FREE....... WE HAVE AN ELDERLY MOTHER AND FATHER IN THE HOUSE AS WELL AS INFANTS AND KIDS WHO GOES TO PRIMARY SCHOOL .....

I went into the Town Centre Mitchell's plain branch almost 2 months ago to open an account , the lady I was supposed to speak to named Beverly was not available I was then helped by Mareldia who took all my information and taht she would call me the next day as they were about to close and their system was shut down already. I was supposed to receive a call the following day from Beverley which I did not , I called her . Beverly took some more information from me and said she would get back to me and my wait continued. When Beverly eventually called me back she advised that there was something that came up on my credit profile and that she is waiting for the regional manager to come so she can sort it out .... she assured me that I should not worry as she need the sale and will make sure my account gets approved so I can purchase a television for my mother . She kept saying I will call you back and up until this day has never called me I had to call her back evbery time only for her to say I will call you back dont worry your account will be sorted .It is now almosty Christmas and still no call from Beverley and no TV. Yesterday I called again and got the sdame response dont worry I am going to put it through again , I will call you back and guess what no call back received , why I believed she would I dont know. I called back about 10 minutes ago again she then said someone else is going to explain to and I waited , I eventually hung up and few minutes later Beverley called back Mareldia was apparently supposed to explain something to me , but Marel was busy , I dont know why she even bothered to call me , she then said sorry i will call you back wh en Mareldia is done .... well I am still waiting.....

I work for a Retail company called Homechoice and have never ever given this type of service to any of our customers , what is so upsetting to me is not only the fact that not on one occassion did she actually call when she said she would , she assured me the account would be ok and based on her saying so numerous times I bvelieved her and as a result of this i still have no TV , no feedback absolutely nothing at all. She led me to beliee that everything is fine and I have every telephone call I made to the the store recorded . So thanks to the appalling service I now sit without a TV and a very disspointed mother who I assured based on what I was told by Beverley that she would have a new TV for xmas.

I am taking this oppurtunity to express my dissatisfaction of the service I received and the false hope given by the individuals mentioned , I am also making my complaint known to all of our staff which is way over 3000 people in our buidling , to make them aware of the type of service Lewis provides to their customers.

In addition I am also putting my complaint on , Facebook , Twitter , Instagram and every other social network to make people aware.

I hope you know that you ruined Christmas for and elderly lady.

Kind Regards ,
