I ordered my doors on 7/12/2022. They were eventually delivered in March of 2023. From the outset they were installed the wrong way around, which required them to come back time and again. They were unfinished for about two months after that before they came to complete the installation. They are ill fitting and the powder coating is peeling off. I have had Alister (The Owner)here, who agreed with me regarding the problem and although he has promised to have the problems attended to, it now 6x weeks since he came! I rang him two weeks ago and he informed me that it was on the action board (more like rigor mortis board!) and when I rang today, it is still there! I would not recommend this poor excuse for a business to anyone. As far as service is concerned, the worst perpetrator is the guy who owns the business! I will be broadcasting this far and wide! I would have thought that the best way to please a client is to attend to the problem asap but what do I know?
On 21 December 2020, my son posted a parcel to me, from Los Angeles, USA. It came as speed post from there, with a tracking number! It has never arrived and there is been no acknowledgement from SA Post Office of any correspondence. I have been to the local post office 15x times, I have emailed the international division on 5x occassions, with no reply other than an automated promise that they would reply within 24-48 hours. Every time I go to the post office I get a different story. No one will come back to me and no one will take the responsibility for finding anything out. There is no hope for our postal system. However you can order anything online and it gets to you in less than 7 days. Its just pathetic!
They have generally been quite good, however in December 2020, I arranged a collection which had to go to four different destinations around South Africa. There were 120x cartons in total. Despite me emailing and arranging the collection, in good time and confirming with their Durban rep, that all was in order and checking three times on the day (Friday) of the collection, they finally arrived after 5.30pm (We close at 4.30pm)(We worked night shift for two weeks, to complete this job!). This info was passed onto them! The driver then told us that his truck wasn't big enough to take the cartons! After a number of phone calls to Kargo, to speak firstly to the rep, who was offline and then finally the Operations Manager, I had to accept that they would only collect on the following Monday. I also clearly made it known to the Ops Manager that the goods could not be delivered late because they were for a promotion. He indicated that the delivery would be done at no charge, which he now has selective amnesia about. The upshot of the debacle was that two of the deliveries were late and I lost the customer!!! I have tried since December, to talk to the rep because I refused to pay for delivery, except for a credit they decided to give me about a month ago, of R 300, which has now resulted in them handing me over. Never will I deal with them again!
Quite a while ago, I decided to test out Outsurances claim that if they couldn't match your existing insurer then they would pay you R400! I rang in and gave them my insurance details on my two vehicles, plus I emailed them my policys. They couldn't come close to what I am already paying so I claimed the R400. Needless to say, I received an answer which said I didn't qualify for the R 400. No explanation and no reply to my query about it. Les face it if they can't be trusted to pay out R 400 before you are insured with them, how could they be trusted with my business or heaven forbid, my claim, should there be one! They are just lying! I wonder how many other people have had this experience with them! The reason I have taken so long to write this is because I only remembered Hello Peter today!
