I am extremely shocked and disappointed with Takealot’s service and completely unreliable ETAs. This is now the third order in a row where the delivery ETA provided has not been met. I pay for Takealot More, yet I have been waiting between one to two weeks for my orders to arrive. I phoned customer service on Friday 23 January, and today is Tuesday, 27 January, yet the situation has only become more confusing and frustrating. On Friday, I was told that my order was being held up because 1 item had not arrived from the supplier, even though the order was split. According to the notifications I received, the rest of the order was supposed to be delivered on 26 January. That delivery never happened. When I phoned again this morning to follow up, I was then told that it was another item that had not yet arrived from the supplier — completely contradicting what I was told on Friday, where I was assured that everything else was already at the branch. To make matters worse, the manager refused to speak to me, which I find absolutely shocking and unprofessional. One has to question whether they understand what being a manager actually means, especially when dealing with long-standing issues and extremely dissatisfied customers. After all of this, I requested to cancel the order, only to be told that one item cannot be cancelled, despite the delays and misinformation being entirely on Takealot’s side. The service I have received is unacceptable. The delivery times are even worse. Takealot’s service and reliability have never been this bad, and as a paying Takealot More customer, I am deeply concerned about the declining standards. This experience has left me both shocked and extremely disappointed, and it seriously calls into question whether Takealot values its customers at all.
I booked a vehicle online with Economy Car Rentals, paid the required deposit, and received a confirmation email along with a voucher. The email clearly stated that when collecting the vehicle, the driver must present the following: The voucher A valid credit card in the name of the main driver Driver’s licence ID card / Passport All of these documents were brought along. Yet, when the driver arrived, she was refused service. The excuse given was that they could not verify her ID due to the POPIA Act. This is completely illogical — if you specifically request an ID in your own instructions, how can you then refuse to verify it? To make matters worse, the treatment was utterly unacceptable. She was made to stand outside in the street, a woman alone, with no assistance or even basic courtesy such as offering water. She was treated as if she were a ********, despite complying with all the requirements. The service was absolutely **********. To add insult to injury, there is no telephone number listed anywhere, making it impossible to request a refund on the deposit I paid. Economy Car Rentals failed to deliver the service promised, acted in bad faith, and left us stranded without a vehicle. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.
We sent through my husband's chronic medication script at the end of September and they have till today not sent his meds. It's been 13 days later and we are getting one empty promice after the other. One says it has not been released as yet and will only be delivered in a weeks Tim, the other who is supposedly the 'manager' keeps on making empty promises with no delivery. The only name I have is Ruwenda who I have been told is the manager. My husband has been without his medication for a few days now...absolutely shocking service towards a client who is chronically ill and can't go a day without his meds😡😡😡 I am beyond angry because you are playing with my husband's life!!!!!!!!
