Where has Herbert Evans gone?
I wouldn't even give this company a single star. Ever since the original Herbert Evans chain of art materials shops were sold, several years ago, the company has declined both in stock and service. At the end of 2023, I went to the Linden outlet & after some shocking lack of service, I entered into a conversation with staff, who were so depressed, begging me to take up the total lack of any useful art materials with their head office. The same conditions app**** to the Fourways Crossing outlet. Over the last 10 days my art colleagues & I have visited the website, shops etc to find that everything has closed down. No prior notification, no closing down sale etc. We all have vouchers to spend with no recourse & no explanation. This was Johannesburg's premier art materials shop for 100 years!!! The herbertevans.co.za. account has been suspended so can't supply an email

Travelstart - a very bad third party travel agent!
Actually, I wouldn't have given this company a single star! I booked my mother a return ticket Harare / Joburg / Harare) in January this year & as she is elderly, I paid insurance on the ticket for medical emergencies. My mother fell ill & I notified Travelstart, submitted a medical report and after 3 weeks received a report that I would get less than a 3rd of the ticket cost back due to airline (BA) penalties & that payment would only happen in June 2022! I have written, tried to call unsuccessfully, written again and so on. I still haven't been paid out and my letters to customer care have been ignored completely. No acknowledgement! Incidentally, my mother passed away in March. There was a time when Travelstart was a very useful organisation; but now it seems that there are no human beings working there..... you cannot speak to anyone! Sincerely hope that no one uses this company, as there is absolutely recourse, no apologies for poor service and no consumer justice.

Booking a Cruise
<p>I dealt with the cruise consultant Nadine Le Clos, who was extremely helpful, carefully explained all details and then went beyond the cruise basics to include an additional 2 days to the itinerary. thank you Nadine..we are so excited!</p>
