I previously ordered from Leroy Merlin and had a terrible experience, I thought they would be better now. My mistake, they delivered the wrong items and many items did not match their website images, of the 8 items in my order, 5 were wrong. Trying to return has been a true nightmare and no one ever returns messages or calls me back, I have to spend hours on the phone with them to arrange everything and even after finally getting them to pick up the items, I have to call again about the refund. Worst company to deal with ever, rather go to Builders of Chamberlains, I've learnt my lesson now.
In the Randburg area: For the second time in a month our alarm went off at night, we received a call after 5 minutes and confirmed someone should check it out. For the second time no one came. On the weekend I called the emergency line to ask for someone to check my driveway, it took 10 minutes for them to answer the call. Their excuse: load shedding. Since it isn't a new phenomenon they should have hired more people by now. Cancelling today. The police at least bother to show up, why would I continue to pay ADT for literally no service?

I ordered an 18amp battery online and they sent me an 8amp battery instead. Companies make mistakes I do understand, but trying to get any service from them to rectify this has been a nightmare. It took a week of emailing for them to say they were checking with their suppliers, more emailing and Desree said she would refund me on 6 July. I provided my details and since then no response. I received a satisfaction survey in which I indicated the issue wasn't resolved, no response. I've emailed twice no response. I tried calling their line and you can only leave a message, not speak to anyone. Truly horrendous service. How does a business like this even operate in South Africa?
Excellent service, they installed the G-Speak intercom system for me and they preconfigured it so installation time was short and I was able to access the device online immediately, this is real efficiency in service.
Simply the best return experience ever from any company. I've been having issues with an expensive coffee machine and they took it back and credited me in a day, no questions or arguments. I'm so impressed I'll definitely be buying more from takealot after this. My experience with returns for small items has also been excellent.
Three weeks later still waiting a response on my return. They incorrectly advertised a home gym. After I logged my initial request I only recieved a response after a week when I complained on social media. It's now two more week and no responses since then. How is a company like this able to operate? You can't phone them. They might appear to have good deals sometimes, but it certainly isn't worth it if you need any support thereafter, they really don't care.
