Should have looked this company up here first before commiting to do doing bussines with them because now I see that my expierience with them seems to be the norm. Contacted them for moving of household goods from Brits NW to Cape Town WC. Admitted that I could not give them a list of goods as it was in storage ,how ever I could tell them that all goods was in a storage unit of 3x3x6 which was filled to about 80%.They were quite happy to supply me a quote based on this volume. Loading was done timeously and correctly. However once they had possesion of my goods problems started ,First thing was an increase in the tarrif of 33% (R4000) ,I was sms'd informing me that the volume loaded was more than inicated for the quote.( I have always had a problem with a big company that wants to conduct bussiness by sms ,rather unprofesional in my books).I had to pay this in cash before they will offload ,who in this day and age wish to carry such amounts in cash with them?.So me ,the clieent ,had a gun against my head as I was informed that my goods will be attached unless I pay this money.I then also have to find out that the move was handled by a third party and not AA Van Lines , I was never informed that a third party was involved ,who is now ultimately responsible for my goods should a problem arrise? Remember quote was for 80% of the volume supplied.So if the load was more (which it was not) which would then be 100% of volume supplied it would then be an increase of 20% so how do they calculate a 33% increase in tarrif? I was informed that ofloading would take place on the 27th and arrangements was made for my wife to fly from Pretoria to be present on the 27th for the ofloading.On the morning of the 27th I get a call saying that offloading would only happen on Monday 30th.A whole weekend wasted .No concern for the inconvienience for as the clieent by deviating from the arranged date. I qeuried all of this and was met with a rather flippant attitude of are you going to pay or do we attach your goods ?Again me the clieent without any choices.Even speaking to the owner/manager resulted in the same attitude. In future I would make damn sure that I visit this site before making use of any company and I could just advise anybody reading this to be very carefull when using this company as you dont know if it is actually them doing the move and secondly they make use of underhand tactics to increase tarrifs and you as the clieent will have no recourse.
Phoned their offices this morning for quote to move to Pretoria SA.Lady answering phone battles to speak English.Nobody that can assist as staff is out.No offer to take number and phone back.Needless to say I wont phone back either.
<p>Wel done Telkom ,after two weeks still no reaction on the fault reported under ref:163CNK080117.This morning major medical emergency at home and no lone to call paramedics.Family member critical in ICU due to this.</p>
