have gone through 3 months of checking and countless calls and emails to get American express to work. It has been a blame game since May 2022 I have not been able to accept a single American Express Card upon signing up for this. It takes days if not weeks to get a reply. I have never experienced such unhelpful service from a bank to this degree. I can not continue to waste my time on this. The point of this was to enable more customer purchases - but it is quite clear that the goal will not be achieved. It is clear that no one knows what they are doing. This has been a wait of my time. I advise anyone thinking of joining to not waste their time or efforts with American express South Africa.

Went to travel expo today at dome. Had Anat for lunch was quite disappointed when my chicken shawarma has bits of beef in it. Noticed when ordering staff throwing the ingredients around as they where quite busy. Should of know better when I saw this happening. It’s most upsetting when you are allergic to the the ingredients that should not be in your food. Had to throw the food away due to cross contamination lucky no harm was done.
Booked for a morning appointment to have phone and ADSL line moved from one room in the home to another. Waited all day no technician arrives. Call to find out whats going on only to be told the work is complete. The technician has marked work as done yet he didn't even pitch to do the job. Day waisted and have to rebook cause the technician is too lazy to do his/ her job. Sitting for 1hour now just trying to get through to the call center to rebook. Unwanted frustrating and grey hairs for such a simple job - if the job had been done instead of being lazy. Telkom really needs to implement a system that the technicians can be accountable for such terrible service and frustration due to laziness.
