I called my insurance Discovery Insure and I was assisted by Mpumelelo Khoza. He arranged a tow for me after my car broke down at around 20:00 this evening on the N1 The tow service arrived in the timeframe he said they'd be there and he also contacted me periodically to make sure that I was safe while I waited. He extended to offer me a security (via Discovery Insure) while I waited but I said I was okay. While I was waiting a Highway Patrol vehicle also stopped during my wait for the tow truck. My car was safely returned to my home address via the tow service they provided.
I've been using GoDaddy for just over a year now and everything was fine until I experienced incompetence from the developers at GoDaddy. I redesigned my landing page carousel to a slider with text and a button at the bottom of each image that takes the user directly to the product after clicking it. I added some new things to my website a few days later which is unrelated to the carousel on the landing page. After I published the new changes on a different section of the website, the landing page carousel broke. I've investigated the issue myself and found that there was something hiding the text or blocking the carousel text but I cannot override it from my end since I have no access to the raw code files as GoDaddy is a drag n drop platform. I've been chatting to the "Support" team all week from 15th September 2025 to 19th September and they haven't been able to fix this simple issue. After every attempt they say that it is fixed but I've checked on different devices, deleted cache, browsing history, etc. I've done my own trial an error to fix the issue but I can't understand why the developers can't fix it. Today it is still not fixed as a result of their incompetence. I'm redeveloping my website from scratch and soon removing my website from their platform.
They handled my requests with ease and dropped my monthly premium of my 14 year old car
I am very unimpressed with this company. And I am ready to log a complaint against them. The company called me in July/August 2020 with regards to their drone products which they sell as their main product. During the call I mentioned to the person that was selling me the product that I was not working and that I won't be able to afford the product. He gave me some weak advice on how I can make money using the product only to secure the sale (We are currently in a worldwide pandemic). It felt like this person put me under duress to accept the product as well. I then accepted the product but after the first debit order went off it was 12 days since and no product came to my door. I called the hobby group and they said only after the second debit order it will then be delivered. I was unhappy about that and then requested a cancellation. I did this on the 15th September 2020 and also explained that I am unemployed and cannot afford the product. Today is the 1st October (the date for the debt order listed on my account number) They debited again for R399 after I explicitly requested via phone call and Facebook to cancel my order. They have debited my account twice now and blatantly ignored my request for a cancellation. I want this fixed and my money refunded. Honestly what kind of service is this that only cares about themselves after I've made it clear that I am not working and the money in my account is for more important things that a DRONE! the hobby group is a sick company for ignoring the fact that I am not working! Taking peoples money even after they requested to cancel!!!!!!!!!!
