Would not recommend them
Bought a domain name from them, still have not gotten a confirmation email, or a way of linking it to my hosting, price went up for hosting it was R200 for a a year then changed to R1500 overnight, would not recommend them if you want to save time, bit of a dog show.

Don't use this site. NO MATTER WHAT?!?!? They exploit customers especially small business owners by: 1. Products not working and being advised to keep buying upgrades. 2. Discounted amounts are hiked at checkout. 3. Useless 'development' team. 4. When products don't work and have been flagged multiple times they don't even offer a refund for having wasted your time! This company needs to be closed tomorrow for outright *****!

Before this 'company' came about and made itself an authority (like a self-appointed alpha male), we used to manage domains like humans and professionals. Now these guys will charge you a broker fee just to ask someone else if you can have your own intellectual property. Not only should people not support this company, it shouldn't even exist in an ethical world.

GoDaddy support/developer Incompetence
I've been using GoDaddy for just over a year now and everything was fine until I experienced incompetence from the developers at GoDaddy. I redesigned my landing page carousel to a slider with text and a button at the bottom of each image that takes the user directly to the product after clicking it. I added some new things to my website a few days later which is unrelated to the carousel on the landing page. After I published the new changes on a different section of the website, the landing page carousel broke. I've investigated the issue myself and found that there was something hiding the text or blocking the carousel text but I cannot override it from my end since I have no access to the raw code files as GoDaddy is a drag n drop platform. I've been chatting to the "Support" team all week from 15th September 2025 to 19th September and they haven't been able to fix this simple issue. After every attempt they say that it is fixed but I've checked on different devices, deleted cache, browsing history, etc. I've done my own trial an error to fix the issue but I can't understand why the developers can't fix it. Today it is still not fixed as a result of their incompetence. I'm redeveloping my website from scratch and soon removing my website from their platform.

Domain "Ransom" Scheme Cost Our Client Their Business Domain
My Experience with Domain Transfer Predatory Practices I'm writing this as a web development company owner who has witnessed this pattern repeatedly across multiple registrars including Tu***s, KwikWeb/KwikWap, and GoDaddy. What Happened: Our client, Eeden Social Media Marketing, requested a legitimate domain transfer for eedenmarketing.com. Despite providing the correct auth code, the losing registrar placed the domain in redemption mode rather than allowing the transfer. The Scheme: Domain placed in artificial "redemption" status Client offered option to pay R1,800+ redemption fee to hostile registrar When client refuses, domain eventually drops Domain instantly acquired by major registrar (in milliseconds) Original domain now held for ransom at R61,535.77 What I Witnessed: I was monitoring the domain's WHOIS status and watched it change from "redemption" to "active" - completely skipping "available." This happened so fast it's clearly automated, not coincidental. The Pattern: This isn't isolated. I've seen identical behavior from: Tu***s (hostile during transfer process) KwikWeb/KwikWap (deliberately uncooperative) GoDaddy (now holding domain at premium price) Impact: A legitimate business lost their established domain and now faces paying 4,000x the normal registration fee or starting over with a new domain. Evidence: Screenshots of real-time status changes Documentation of all transfer attempts Records of registrar communications To Other Business Owners: Transfer domains well before expiry Document everything Consider registering backup domains Be aware this practice exists This appears to be a coordinated effort across registrars to monetize domain transfers. The speed and consistency suggest industry-wide systems designed to capture dropping domains. GoDaddy even has a reporting mechanism for domain grabbing complaints, suggesting they're aware of criticism but continue the practice.
