FNB has been negligent in how they have managed this ***** case, with minimal communication regarding the findings and outcomes of the investigation. My mother a pensioner was a victim of ***** on the 29th August 2025, she reported the case at the FNB Galleria branch on the sameday. Throughout the investigation there have communication challenges and limited transparency. It seems the case was closed with outstanding action points.
Jabu Thabethe's exceptional to say the least
I am appalled at the lack of patient and customer care displayed by the staff working at the Isipingo hospital. My mother was brought into Trauma early hours of the morning Saturday morning 30 Sep. 2023. She was admitted into a ward by the doctor in ER Dr Mansoor after she received emergency treatment. I am based in JHB, to assist her I requested checkers 60 delivery of essential toiletries to be delivered to the hospital for her attention. The staff were reluctant to help not allowing the delivery into the hospital. Mr. Zulu the security on duty refused to help or to even allow the parcel to be left, I called the reception and was advised that it should be left with security because that is the reception the lady was not keen on assisting. I had to call the ward and beg the nurses to please fetch the parcel from downstairs. Not knowing that was the beginning of our problems. Dr Mansoor requested another doctor to assist with rounds as he was not in. I had called my mother at that time to reassure her that the delivery was on the way up, whilst I was awaiting her response on the other end of the phone. I could hear the doctor shouting and reprimanding my 65-year-old mother like a child about her being on the phone. And asking her " if she wants to get treatment or if she wants to be on the phone?" As if my mother couldn't understand English the nurse jumped in to interpret for the doctor in a harsh tone. At that point my mother had been shamed in the ward for other patients to hear. This behavior is completely unacceptable from medical staff in any hospital, the treating doctor then refused to check and treat my mother and walked off to other patients as if he were punishing her. He only later decided to check her when he felt that the punishment was enough. My mother tried to explain the context of the situation, but the doctor was not interested. It was clear at that point that the hospital does not value its patients. The doctors and the nurses are rude, arrogant and condescending towards patients. The doctor refused to further speak to me or my mother and sent the nurses to initiate the communication. My mother has been a loyal customer to this hospital her records can be checked to verify this. However, the treatment she received this weekend will ensure that we don't return to this place.
