I will definitely recommend Aldene and Adri! They were fantastic in helping me get my daughters un-abridged birth certificate. Thank you Ladies!
Still the friendliest exterminator around! Lawrence has kept his word and comes whenever we need him with our pesky termites! We can highly recommend Megatrax!
We needed advice and help with our termite problem. We contacted a number companies that does pest control. Of these only two responded but one company stood out above the rest. Lawrence from Megatrax came for a quotation the same day! He arrived on time for the work to be done. They had to drill holes all around my house and filled the holes afterwards. He added extra bait to destroy nests that might pop up around the garden. He is willing to come and treat a wall in the near future when we will be replacing roof plates. I am really impressed and will recommend Megatrax to anyone that has pest problems in Cape Town and the northern suburbs.
We hired Philip Jonck and his daughter Carmen from Painters Cape in May this year for maintenance to our home. They were asked to paint the outside of the house including the front and back doors, the roof, the inside doors and door frames, to seal part of the roof above our bedroom and rebuild and tile a step on the front stoep. They arrived early and on time with a large group for the painting and this was completed on the outside in a short amount of time. The painting looked good except for the roof that in some places has the old colour showing slightly but they did assure me that they painted the roof with two coats of paint. We also wonder about the two layers of paint on the walls as the old colour shows through (a different shade of white). The section of the roof that we asked and paid for to be sealed are still leaking and to get my disabled husband on the roof is a dangerous and time consuming process. We did find several and at least one hole as big as a R5 piece that was not fixed as requested. The front and back doors’ paint are pealing. Half of the doors inside the house cannot be closed because the surface was not prepared correctly and the paint layers are to thick. The step on the front stoep is not level and will need to be broken up and redone. They also left all the building rubble on the pavement as well as extra bags of cement in our parking area that has since hardened. I have tried contacting Philip but he does not answer my calls or e-mails. https://drive.google.com/file/d/16IL9gqvDew9wYZ1RR0Ioye9wLUuQJ9dh/view?ts=5d9dc829 https://drive.google.com/file/d/168qjotrUeN83SmWjGrGC1Ui_jldvz-26/view?ts=5d9dc837 https://drive.google.com/file/d/16O0h2bP5P9NPrYbLryAwx10v_50faT9B/view?ts=5d9dc8f7 https://drive.google.com/file/d/16F2R74Q4JKqN_WLBgzWj4PsnIGgjKgDK/view?ts=5d9dc903 https://drive.google.com/file/d/16T9_Xa9avSJfP2taoh4aKqh7Df8PANop/view?ts=5d9dc81c https://drive.google.com/file/d/16TF0-XdDqp2sn0LDgmtdhZ5Xz3B-h8Ns/view?ts=5d9ddcd4
We had Philip Jonck and his daughter Carmen from Painters Cape in for the painting of the outside of our house and the roof in May of this year. They were also asked to rebuild a step that a previous builder messed up and seal the roof above our bedroom and various other small tasks like sanding and painting the inside doors and door frames. They do come as a big group and work quickly. The painting outside was nicely done although the roof at some places looks as if it needed an extra coat although they assured us that two coats were applied as stated. The inside doors were not sanded down enough so half of them do not close because of the thick layers of paint. The front and back door have peeling paint as the paint area was not prepared properly before being painted. The roof that we asked and paid extra to be sealed is still leaking and we have tried sealing it and discovered at least one hole as big as a R5 coin! To get my disabled husband on the roof and trying to fix the holes takes an enormous amount of effort and associated risk. The step they rebuild is not nearly level so it will have to be broken up and redone again! Plus they left us with all the building rubble on the sidewalk and the extra cement as they promised to come and tile the steps but never returned. We have tried in vain to get them to come and fix the work they messed up.
My daughter’s phone went in to be repaired in September. Unfortunately, I do not have the precise date as that paper with the date was handed in when I collected the phone after repairs. I happened to be passing the Samsung service center in Tygervalley where the phone was handed in and I took a chance to enquire about the phone only to find out that the phone was there, only they neglected to notify me. The phone was fixed or so I though. Unfortunately the phone was loaded with the incorrect service provider. This caused the phone to reject the sim card. So the phone had to go back to the service center. The phone went back for the second time on the 03 October. Since then I have made numerous unsuccessful trips to the service center in Tygervalley. They do not have the phone, then they try to phone the service center in Century City but get no reply. They did get through twice and on both occasions I was handed the phone to speak to the call center myself to explain the problem. The first time I was told they do not know where the phone is. Sorry. The next time I was told by Raisa that they just received the parts and are in the process of fixing the phone and the phone will be available for collection the next day at the latest. I told her that I did not believe her story about the parts and it was just another excuse because the phone was supposed to get different software. So they lie to you about parts in the hope to win time. SOOOO, not acceptable. But she did promise that the phone will be returned before the end of Friday afternoon. That was three weeks ago. Since then I have spent countless hours, effort, phone calls etc. trying to get the phone back. I have been to the service center at Tygervalley nearly every second day. No luck. The assistant just tries to phone the service center in Century City while you stand there waiting and have to stand there watching him reading his emails and checking his phone messages. The service center NEVER even answers! The one time there was another customer that has been waiting to get feedback for an hour and a half. Really??? I have phoned Wayne Peters and he promised to sort out the problem. They did phone my daughter last week Friday, interrupting her in class, to tell her to collect the phone from Canal Walk. She asked them to send it to Tygervalley. They phoned again on Monday and on Tuesday to say the phone is fixed and needs to be collected. BUT IT IS NOT THERE. I have tried phoning Wayne Peters again and again but the calls just get dropped. John Preiss has been trying to help by speaking to Wayne Peters and Ricardo (I don’t know what his job title or surname is), but no luck there either. My husband was there on Saturday to ask regarding the phone. He asked for the email and telephone number for the regional manager, and was given the number and email address for Wayne Peters. The staff at the Samsung shop told him that Wayne Peters is not the regional manager. The assistant got quite a mouthful about lying again when asked for the regional managers email address. He said that he do not think he is allowed to give out the information. If we cannot contact the management how are we as customers supposed to sort out the problems???? I have been told that I will have feedback from the managers as to where the phone is by John Preiss. That was three days ago and still nothing.

We bought a dishwasher from Game N1 City on Sunday 29 January. I first phoned Game Tygervalley to check for stock, but they did not have. I then phoned Game N1 City and they assured me they have stock at their warehouse. My husband and I drove through to pay for the dishwasher and was told by Carmenita that I will receive the dishwasher early morning on Monday 30 January.

On Monday I waited all morning with a sick child that I could not take to the doctor, as I needed to be at home for the delivery. By lunchtime (12h00) I phoned to enquire to the warehouse and spoke to Nadia. She informed me that the dishwasher had to be collected from N1 City, as they had no stock. I phoned again to enquire at 03h00 and Lizette told me Nadia is out of the office but she will ask her to come back to me.

By 3h45 Xanele phoned from N1 city to tell me their is no stock but he will take it up with his manager first thing on Tuesday morning. But he also said that stock has been ordered and ensured me that it will be delivered either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

Thursday came and I waited again. By 04h00 I phoned again and spoke to the large appliance manager, Portia. She said that I should have my dishwasher as it was scheduled for delivery that day. AAH, no, I waited all day and nothing. Then she said that the delivery of stock was delayed from the supplier and will only arrive on the 7th or 8th of February.

Today is the 8th and I still haven't heard what is happening. I phoned Portia at 03h00 and was told that a dishwasher was especially ordered from Vredenburg and transfered my call to Xanele. He could not help me as he does not know why I haven't received my order yet, but he will speak to Portia. I told him that she already spoke to me and transferred me to him. He promised to get back to me.

I phoned again at 05h00 and Portia said that my order is in transit. Probably for delivery on the 8th. Hellooo. It is the 8th. Five o'clock in the afternoon! She said that she will let me know tomorrow morning when I can expect delivery, as they ESPECIALLY ordered me one. Lets hold thumbs for tomorrow.

So, if you are planning to reduce your water consumption to help in the drought, don't buy one from Game. The dams will probably be full by the tme they deliver mine.
