Very disappointing, if the franchised dealers treat us just like the non franchised then where should we purchase? Picked up a car from the sales man David at master cars I signed OTP and paid a holding deposit on the 6th of June 2019, collected on the 11th of June 2019. Only to fined the vehicle with the following faults: - License Disc expired 2018/12/31 -Plastic sweet wrappers in the vehicle -spare wheel just thrown in the back and not fastened underneath the vehicle -Loose vehicle covers -steins all over the vehicle inside and seats (Some even looked like oil steins) -Scratches on the rear -Fuel was on empty
I am so appalled and disgusted at the service I received from Mercedes Benz Bedford/ Malboro from Nathi the sales manager and Benny the sales executive. I inquired about a vehicle on the Auto Trader in the beginning of February, I paid a holding deposit shortly after and collected the vehicle on the 14th of February 2019. I understood that the vehicle had to go for reconditioning but it took over 13 days, upon collection I was given a car with warning lights on, the headlight wasn't functional and the right front wheel made a big noise. I drove the car to Nelspruit only to be told that the vehicle would be attended to on the 28th of February. i drove the vehicle up to Joburg yesterday to cancel the deal, they then showed me two vehicles. I thought it would only be fair to let them rectify the problem, Benny and Nathi assured me the vehicle would be delivered today only to be lied to. I was told the vehicle left Joburg at 12pm and at 4pm they tell me they had the driver return and would only reach joburg between 12am and 1pm. What makes me really upset is that Nelspruit is a 3 hour drive not 8, they have been lying to me all along. I have never in my history of buying cars dealt with such liars and unprofessional people, both manager and sales person. I would like to be refunded the money I spent buying the vehicle and traveling up and down with false promises.
I purchased the vehicle from Group 1 Hyundai Midrand and collected on 15 June 2018 from Manfred Krige (Sales Executive). Vehicle arrived in Nelspruit the same evening, Mr Mokoena collected vehicle from me the same evening. On 29 June 2018 the vehicle broke down and was towed to Hyundai Nelspruit, where they discovered the clutch had failed and needed to be replaced. This is after traveling for 1 655km with the vehicle. Spoke to Manfred at Group 1 Hyundai Midrand, he sent an email stating that they contacted the Nelspruit Hyundai technician and concluded that the vehicle was damaged because of customer abuse and that they would not be liable for the damage. I tried making contact with Celeste Da Mata the Dealer Principal at Group1 Hyundai Midrand both via telephone and email I had also copied the Used Sales Manager Pierre Topliss. He responded with the same statement, they will not be liable as it is customer abuse. I asked for a copy of the check they say was performed on the vehicle on Thursday 19 July 2018, did the same on Friday 20 July 2018 and again on Monday 23 July they still haven't come back to me. They read my emails but do not respond, this was a used vehicle I purchased from Group 1 Hyundai Midrand. I would accept and understand them refusing to pay for these damages if the vehicle was brand new when purchased. We haven't been in possession of the vehicle for longer than a month or more than 2 000km prior to the clutch failing.
<p>I am still shocked at the service I got from a dealership of this magnitude and after everybody told me of great service. It seems all that is important are the sales made and not the after service, after purchasing my second BMW from Club Motors Fountains. I have been complaining about traffice fines received on the vehicle I traded in with them while in their possesion.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have been complaining about these traffic fines for over 2 years and nothing has been done. I have sent numerous emails to the sales manager and sales person still no assistance received. The sad thing is when pulled over who will be aarested? Not club motors fountains but me. Will someone please attend to this as it has gone too far now. </p>
