Pathetic customer service and endless flight delays make this a disaster airline. Hello Peter should consider negative stars as one star for Lift Airlines is overly complimentary. An 8am flight was delayed multiple times leaving elderly passengers stranded at the airport for hours to fend for themselves, with a pathetic breakfast voucher to compensate. Multiple delays of this nature should result in a full refund. Lift Airline displays nothing uplifting about its customer experience, and is an airline that I will never recommend or use again. They filled a gap in the market because of self-enriching owners who are in it to make a quick buck and get out. It’s not an airline for the long haul, and certainly don’t be around in a couple of months. No reasons for the delay, except for a poorly worded text message. Customer support is non responsive and possibly non-existent. Lift Airline is a sad introduction to the airline industry and is doing a disservice to SA.
Extremely disappointing service at Khaliques (Mall of Africa). As a regular Khaliques customer, I expected the same level of service and professionalism I always experienced at Khaliques Sandton. This was not to be. Service at Khaliques (Mall of Africa) is non-existent, the atmosphere very chaotic, the management on duty dis-interested and the sales staff do not even know the brands they suppose to be selling. Khaliques (Mall of Africa) is a huge disappointment to the Khaliques brand. It’s a pity they hold prime location at Mall of Africa, with an inexperienced Management team, who seem equally clueless as their incompetent sales staff. I look forward to seeing how long Khaliques (Mall of Africa) lasts at the mall with the attitude they have. It’s as if, us, the potential customers, are doing them a favour by shopping there. For the first time, I looked elsewhere for my suits, and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of other quality suit stores at the Mall of Africa, that puts Khaliques (Mall of Africa) to shame. My advice to Khaliques (Mall of Africa) = Stop hiding behind a strong brand and bringing it into disrepute with your lack of basic store management and competent sales staff.
We have had a bad experience with Banhoek Lodge in Stellenbosch. The following reasons have been noted: 1. Our booking made directly on their website (reflecting available rooms), deposit paid and payment confirmation received, was cancelled by the Lodge, with an email informing us of the cancellation due to a system error, and stating we will have our deposit returned. This happened almost three days after our booking was made. We had to contact the Lodge ourselves to get clarity, to which we were informed it was a Bookings.com system error. We informed them that we made our booking directly on the Lodge’s website, and not via Bookings.com. No evidence of the system error was provided. 2. In addition, a further three full business days after promising to refund our deposit, we have still not received our money. We followed—up again ourselves with the Lodge, who now claimed a third party service provider, Nightsbridge, was the delay, and there was not much further they could do. We had transacted directly with the Lodge, on their website and the Lodge should be responsible for our money being returned. We have no dealings with a third-party serbice provider who they use to facilitate their payments. We dealt directly with the Lodge. We will be seeking legal advice and pursuing this matter, unti our money is returned.
Avoid Banhoek Lodge at all costs. We received unprofessional and dishonest service from the so-called “Guest Liaison”, who didn’t seem to have a clue on how to handle guest relations. Our 5-night booking at Banhoek Lodge, which we made directly on their website, paid the deposit and received confirmation, was unfairly cancelled and we informed via a haphazard email, almost four days later. We had to follow-up ourselves in regards to the reason, to which we were informed of a system error on Bookings.com, however we had made our booking directly with them. It also took them four days to come up with the excuse of a system error, when it was obvious it wasn’t. They refused to provide evidence of the system error, and their incompetent “Guest Liaison” couldn’t even articulate what actually went wrong. It was clear that we were “bumped” for someone else that may have had a longer reservation, which says a lot about the ethics of Management. They have total disregard for paying guests. At the end of the day, we happy that it worked the way it did and our reservation cancelled. It saved us from staying at a horrible establishment, which would have ruined our holiday in any event. We subsequently got accommodation at a much better establishment, who had proper Management and guest relations etiquette. The Banhoek Valley area has many other fine establishments you can choose from (Banhoek Lodge not being one of them!).

It seems Zuri (Anti) Social Lounge at the Mall of Africa is a disgrace to the other reputable restaurants surrounding it. It also seems they not interested in new business and treat their potential customers with sheer arrogance. I made a tentative booking for 40 people, pending confirmation by Zuri manager who promised to call me back within the hour. 5 hours later and 2 phone calls from myself still didn't get me any closer to securing my reservation. In fact, I was hung-up on during my second call by a totally incompetent floor manager who had answered. From the managers to the waiters, they all seemed totally ignorant of their duties. To save costs Zuri must've sourced these individuals from the street, gave them a set of fancy uniforms and put them to work. Well, it shows you can't fake class and Zuri Anti Social Lounge will soon learn this.
