Interesting how no one can leave a review or recommendation on their FB page... perhaps hiding some horrible customer service? My past 2 orders were incorrect and I keep getting the same generic reply from Amanda Nodada - she should rather be fired and called Amanda NoJob hahahaha. What is the point of asking for customer feedback and having your customers take pictures of food orders like criminals if they NEVER fix the orders or do anything about it? This place should be closed down.
CAN I GIVE THIS PLACE A 0??? Wow guys - I would just love to share my experience at Poplars yesterday celebrating a 60th birthday. I am seriously annoyed and just angry at this pathetic excuse for a restaurant absolutely ruining a very special birthday. How can you take a booking when you know you have almost no menu items in stock - no fillet, no calamari, no pasta, no chicken and no soup... seriously don't know why you even bothered opening your doors yesterday. We waited hours for food and drinks - this with the very limited options we had to choose from. Best was you could not even do a medium to rate steak - all 3 steaks were done medium - this after we waited over an hour for our food. You even mixed up chips with veg sides and never brought the onion rings you promised would be made. Don't get me started on the triple fried chips - we had 3 different types of chips none of them triple fried... So for dessert we waited 40minutes only to have the waiter come to the table stating you had no custard... guys custard takes 5minutes to make - pathetic pathetic pathetic!!! You completely ruined a 60th birthday - this is unacceptable!!! You should be ashamed! Best part is YOU had the cheek to charge a service charge!!! You could not even light the sparkles for the birthday lady before bringing her desert to the table - this is absolutely SHOCKING!!! You gave us a bottle of MCC for the table... funny I have never ever in my life only poured out 4 glases of bubbly and had an empty bottle... so the short of it is that you took a bottle filled with 2 glasses of MCC from our table - how is that for giving a freebie... I will be spreading the word on my experience and your lack of customer service and how your pathetic restaurant ruined a 60th birthday --- your restaurant should be closed down this is in no way acceptable.
I ordered a take away and a drink of R25... got the take away with 0 utensils and 0 drink... upon actually eating my food I found some lovely crunchy egg shell in my food. Not happy at all, think this will be the last time I support them.
I ordered a delivery from Steers Plattekloof through their app and it was confirmed at 9h05. I thought fir a store 5minutes away 40minutes would be sufficient time to prepare a burger and chips and delivery. At 9h39 I was called by Steers Plattekloof and the order was not even made yet!! Furious at this news I cancelled my order. Just before 11 I got a call from the driver - he is outside with my food... I was livid, but gave him a tip and paid my R177 bill... not to mention my lemon twist was swopped to a sprite without my concent and my fanta was left out completely AND my food was ice cold!! I had to call the store twice to finally get my Fanta delivered before 1pm... my hard egg was soft and runny (I dont eat yolk at all and everything was covered in egg yolk and my chicken patties were burned and tasted bitter and were nit hot as I requested either!!) I complained on the steers page and sent my contact details as they requested... after 6pm upon asking them what is going on with my complaint I was told via Facebook they have handed over my query to their team... an entire day and they could not even phone me after my whole ordeal. I am appalled at their lack of customer service and just respect. Even when I was called by Steers Plattekloof I was blatantly lied to stating that they only received my order at 9h25 after I had received the confirmation at 9h05. This is a joke and a poor excuse for a SA company. Pathetic I want this to be rectified and quite frankly I want my money back and a decent apology for this mess. I am furious to say the least.
<p>I had the "pleasure" of dealing with Ricardo, who tried to firstly lie to me regarding one year memberships - stating that if I wanted to join for a year, I can only have an offline membership. Upon telling him I have been a member prior for years all of the sudden his story changed and they had a year membership at a whopping amount! I immediately contacted surrounding clubs to see their rates and Chris Butcher from Parklands replied stating they have an offer for less than half of what Ricardo offered me per month, for a 12 month contract. I forwarded this information to Ricardo requesting another agent to assist me. Guess who has not heard a peep since then... Pathetic service and lies... what has happened to this once fantastic establishment - SHOCKING!!!</p>
