We are extremely dissatisfied with the manner in which this company operates. We had a terrible tenant whom we had no control over, among other things he installed a citiq meter on our property that had been registered to his parents' house, consequently he had been receiving the reimbur*****ts. With a lot of effort we managed to get the tenant out almost 2 years ago, and I am now living on the smallholding myself. This previous tenant has still been receiving the reimbur*****ts and is refusing to pay it back to us. We have been trying for months to get this corrected but emails have been ignored by Citiq, they have answered some Whatsapp messages but have been very unhelpful and every time they have more hoops for us to jump through. What is upsetting is that anyone who has a citiq meter number can register to receive the reimbur*****t, but to change this to the rightful owner of the property is almost impossible. We have no choice but to remove this meter and use another company, since we've been losing thousands of rands and really want this ex tenant out of our lives now.
Bought sorghum seed for planting from Bloemfontein branch and the bag is infested with bugs. Called the branch and they shrugged it off. Very disappointing.
Ordered shakes online, paid for it, only to get an email saying that they're waiting for stock and will send it one day when it arrives. How can you sell what you don't have?
This is a complete scam, they never send what you paid for and refuse to do refunds. They do not reply to emails and their phone is turned off most of the time. When you do reach them they make empty promises. Don't waste your time and money.
Saying 'yes' to the rep who phoned me and asked if I wanted an FNB connect contracts is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made, it just won't end. First the rep blatantly lied to me, saying that whatsapp would be free (this turned out to be a month-long promotion), and that the total for my 2 sim cards with different supposed benefits would come to around R180. One was a top-up contract and the other would have 2 gigs of data per month and cannot be topped up. So imagine my surprise when I suddenly found R500-R600+ missing from my account. After a while I was too afraid to deposit any money into my account because FNB would just take everything immediately. This without me ever signing ANYTHING to authorise any of this. After spending hours on the phone the contracts were cancelled and one sim was made a prepaid, while the sim that had only data was now completely useless because it still cannot be topped up. In any case I was fed up with the whole thing so I went back to my vodacom sim and the fnb sims were in a drawer. I also found that I somehow owed R26000 on my fnb connect, on a top-up contract??? I couldn't even finish the data I had on the contracts and I barely phone anyone. Now, after a year of no drama, I start getting texts that no payment has been received for my fnb connect contracts. I went to the bank, all they could do was check if I had any contracts linked to my account and there was NO CONTRACTS. Then you phone the helpline and they tell you to go to the bank, when you go to the bank they say that you don't have an fnb connect contract. Once again I'm afraid to use my fnb account because my funds may start disappearing again. I also checked if there was any airtime or data loaded on the sim cards, since they're asking me to pay for it. The data sim has no data loaded, the top up contract shows 200mb data, 200minutes call time and 200 SMS's, but if I try to go online or make a call it says that I don't have any data, airtime or minutes. So no-one can help me, they don't keep records of dates on which the contract started, when they were made prepaid, no-one knows what's going on. If it will help I will take those sim cards to the bank and give it to them, they can have them, I don't want them. And in the meantime can't use my account. FNB clearly does not care about their customers, it's like they WANT me to close my account with them, I'm getting rude calls from debt collectors and Whatsapps (like we're in kindergarten) that I must urgently call some guy in connection with my nonexistent contracts. It's looking more dodgy by the minute, I don't know what to do anymore.

For quite some time now FNB has been deducting exorbitant amounts from my account for my two FNB connect sim cards. When I was contacted by FNB and offered FNB connect sim cards the employee told me that both the sim cards would cost me less than R200 pm., now they are deducting more than R400.

Recently I tried eWallet and deposited R70, of which I was only able to withdraw R50 because the atm didn't have R20 bills. I went to another atm (now I also had to pay for the withdrawal because THEIR atm didn't have R20's), the atm showed that the maximum amount I could withdraw was R10 and asked if I wanted to withdraw this amount, but when I selected 'yes' it kept saying that the maximum amount was R10 on the next screen, it was going nowhere so I left.

Today I tried a cardless withdrawal, deposited R90 to be withdrawn cardless, followed the prompts at the ATM, entered my OTP and was told that there is nothing to withdraw. Called the 'helpline' where the person thought that I don't know how to use an ATM. She told me to do an eWallet transfer (which costs money both to deposit and withdraw). I did the transfer and went to the atm only to be told that there's nothing to withdraw. We live in a rural area with no bank and two atms, one of which is almost always out of cash or broken. I was hysterical, I saw people look defeated today when they couldn't withdraw money. I had to call the supposed helpline 7 times today, where I was HUNG UP ON, told that I should ask someone lurking around the ATM to help me (sounds safe, mos), transfered to the wrong departments, and the rest just didn't have an answer for me. So once again I'm without cash, my own cash that I should have access to. I cannot believe how arrogant, incompetent and unfeeling this bank is, people will go hungry and cold tonight but FNB employees throw their hands in the air when they are supposed to offer assistance.
