Dont sign any contracts with this company as they will charge you over inflated fees to try cancel, and then if you lower your package they will restart the the 2 years all over again to keep you paying. I joined this gym over 2 years ago for my son - he then had to go to a rehab facility for 2 years so I requested if they would allow me to cancel the contract due to the fact he can longer go and that it was a waist of money. There response was no you signed a 2 year contract and we could only cancel if we paid a huge cancellation amount of R 5884. Even though we were paying a lessor rate when you want to cancel they change your current rate because that is a special then the work it out on the non special rate which is far more. See below... Email from fight club " Month to month: 2395 6 month: 1750 12 month: 1250 24 month: 999 You joined on the 24 month rate, early termination would mean that you only qualify for the month to month rate. Please see attached draft invoice for the revised fees required for early termination. Payment of this amount would terminate your membership agreed. If no payment or response is received within 5 days of this email your package will continue as intended and this amount would expire. Future requests would be subject to a revised amount. " Being very upset about this situation they then suggested why don't I reduce my package size to a smaller option - which I then decided at least I wont have to pay as much every month. To my surprise I sent them an email 2 days ago requesting to cancel ( as it has now been more than 2 years since I signed my original contract. They once again said no I will have to pay R 3400 to cancel again because when I reduce the package the 2 year contract restarts all over again. All of our packages have the following pricing options; month to month, 6, 12 & 24 month. You joined on our discounted 24 month rate and early cancellation would mean that you qualify for the 12 month rate. I would be very carefull in signing any contract with this greedy company.
I ordered Mcdonalds from Uber eats on Friday and when they delivered they forgot my 2 year ols son's happy meal. On the app I instantly informed them they forgot the meal and they said they would get back to me within 24 hours. I heard nothing - on monday i resent another complaint and they then got back to me to say they cant refund me for the meal because i needed to do it within 48 hours. Totally pathetic as I laid the initial complaint within 1 hour of getting food. The system does not work 100 % and I feel conned.
<p>My girlfriend was in an accident ( she does not have insurance), but the fault of the accident was the person whjo is insured with discovery. He basically drove into her lane and pushed her off the road ( there are also 2 witnesses in the car to verify the incident). This accident happened on the 18/01/2017 and she is entitled to make a 3rd party claim as it was the discovery clients fault that the accident happened.</p> <p>We contacted Discovery and were told that they would make contact with us - they did not. A month later on the 13/02/2017 we had to make contact again and then only did they send us forms to complete - Which we did. We were also sent an email confirming that we must deal with Themba regarding this matter.</p> <p>Bear in mind that my pregnant girlfriends car is now damaged and she has no choice but to drive with a spare biscuit tyre on and no side mirrror which is a very serious danger hazard - but she has no choice because we have to hear back from the insurance company before we can do anything.</p> <p>After several attempts to contact Themba we were unable to get hold of him for over 4 weeks, just for someone else to tell us he is unavailable. We eventually got an approval to get the vehicle assessed on the 31/03/2017. We did that and now we wait....</p> <p>Themba once again is unavailable and we are unable to get feedback. On the 11/04/2017 I sent Themba an email highlighting that he must please get back to me because this car is a danger hazard for my pregnant girlfriend and what if these damages cause her to have a more serious accident. To this day he still as not replied to my email.</p> <p>It is now the 04/05/2017 and we finally managed to make contact with Themba ( Welcome back Themba). His attitude is that he is on his clients side and that they are still busy with confirmation from his client , which they have been unable to verify his version of events for over 2 months now.We told him that they are 2 witnesses in the car that can verify - his attitude was merely they must be on my pregnants girlfriends side. I pointed out to him that if his client did not push into her lane how did she end up off the road ( he could not answer me). He also was quick to inform me that it is not his problem that my pregant girlfriend does not have insurance.</p> <p>So today is the 04/05/2017 and this matter is still not resolved. I no longer have any respect for Discovery as they not only have dragged their feet on this matter, but you are unable to communicate with their consultants ( who have very bad attitudes), and they do not care that they are endangering a pregnant ladies life. This is my viewpoint is that if they can try find any loop hole not to pay this claim they will try their best to do so.</p> <p>So from the 18/01/2017 until today the 04/05/2017 this has still not been resolved and my pregnant girlfriend must still drive in a dangerous vehicle - Thank you Discovery !!</p>
