Quick response to my request and quick settlement of my claim.
Jaen Boschoff is a superstar! Highly professional, friendly, well spoken and able to communicate - just as a human being does. Knew her product, Gave advice. Fast and accurate with attention to details. I was sold after 5 minutes but could not resist speaking to a woman who has got the gift. In todays South Africa one cannot find this type of service, or very hard to find. Communication that is understandable phone to phone is what it's all about.
Hillbrow Hypermeat were told by Telkom that the cables for their landline in Hillbrow had been stolen and that they should order a fibre telephone with router. I went online and ordered this with an agent named Perseverence on 10.11.21 and received an official order on 12.11.21. I was told 2 weeks ago by the Manager of Hillbrow Hypermeat that he was contacted and told that due to the address being different to the one on the account the application had been declined and I must reapply. I was never informed of this at all. It has been nearly 6 weeks that a business has no telephone line to call customers or place orders. Telkom, namely Perseverence, has not come back to me despite my showing my disapproval via an email directed to him. I am not surprised - this is the norm for Telkom.
Despite an apology letter and assurance to clear my Clear Score default record I still have a history of missing payments during the Covid 19 lockdown - an offer from Absa to have 3 months grace period on repayments turned into a disaster when Absa failed to reinstate the debit order. I have to bear the brunt and embarrassment of this history for quite a few years apparently. Perhaps Absa should practice what they preach?
I discovered today that Absa bank who I bank with has defaulted me with the credit bereau. This was due to a covid relief apparent default after 3 months. However in last year Absa apologised to me after they realized it was their fault for not reinstating the debit order in time. They assured me their actions would not affect my credit rating. It appears they have now *****ed my perfect credit rating with all banks etc. I shall be contacting lawyers to sort this out once and for all.
I have been reported as a defaulter on the credit bureau by this business for apparent Feb 2021 and March 2021 non payment. However they get paid regularly via debit order. I have never received a copy of the contract despite requesting this by email. They have handed me over in December 2020 yet their lawyers never came back to me.
I applied for covid debt relief on my accounts with Absa in May. My personal loan has been negatively affected due to Absa not deducting interest during the relief period. I was handed over to debt collectors. Long story short after them apologising and stating it would resume from 1.8.2020 ongoing as normal, this did not happen. After contacting Absa to enquire I was told they had neglected to implement the debit order run. Hence I was handed over to debt collectors again. I have been in contact with every conceivable department to rectify this. My account had illegal deductions to the value of 15000.00 debit ordered. One was reversed at my request and I am still awaiting 5000.00 odd to be reversed. Again I am being hounded by debt collectors despite being told it will be adjusted. Shame on you Absa Bank Personal loans, Ombudsman and all other departments I have contacted.
In March 2019 I was called by a sales person from C & N Imaging Products who convinced me to purchase a printer cartridge. Although it was 3 times the price I usually pay, his sales pitch was it would last 4 times longer than other brands. I ordered one cartridge which arrived and I paid for it. I have been contacted since by another lady who claims that the agreement was that I have to purchase another cartridge to get the discounted price? There was no such agreement made between me and the sales person and this was not mentioned at all. Today we had a call from an apparent "legal advisor" who sent my boss the purchase order, which was actually used as a cash sale when the cartridge was delivered and signed for by me when I paid cash for the cartridge. The legal person sent the email from a gmail account which is dubious indeed. We have responded and will not be bullied by pushy companies desperate to force sales by using non existing agreements as an excuse.
Last week my husband purchased 2 watch batteries from Security Shop at Clearwater Mall. When he tried to place them into his watches they were obviously flat. The battery types 346 Rayovac and 394 Ranata. When he returned to Carl at the store the batteries were tested and found to have a charge. My husband returned with the watch and his tester and proved that there was no charge in the batteries. The Manager tried to listen to a tick in one of the quartz watches, which is clearly ignorance, as a quartz watch does not tick and never will. Only mechanical watches tick. However Carl claimed he would send the batteries back to Carter, their supplier, to have them check the batteries. This was done and Carl called my husband to tell him the watches had been returned. When my husband arrived he found that the battery had been dented and according to Carl, this is how they test batteries at carter. They arranged that a sales rep would be called back to meet and discuss the issue with mu husband. To date they never contacted my husband and he had to call the store today himself. He was told that it takes time to organise the rep to come and collect the batteries and this takes tremendous emails back and forth etc. etc. My husband lost his patience and told Carl he would collect his batteries, which he has done. I queried with one of the sales persons today at the store if he knew about Hello Peter, to which he eagerly and positively acknowledged. Since last month the price of the batteries in particular have increased by 50% apparently due to the rand/dollar exchange rate?? From R30 to R45. That will be the last time my husband sets foot in this #very quiet #not many customers in sight# apathetic sales people on their cell phones#lethargic store.
