Been waiting for a month now and still no installation. Send me the device I will do it myself.... all the phone numbers that's available just keeps you on hold and when finally getting trough to someone he just transfers you back to the menu WT... don't event bother using them YOUR CAR IS NOT SAFE WITH Cartrack.
So moving out and the s### continues, I am now being charged and extra month because they can do whatever they want and being charged for walls that apparently need to be painted but when I moved in it was never painted so now I am being charged for something that I didn't even do. I mean seriously how do you sleep at night. Clearly people are not happy with how you do business but you just don't care... even half of your staff has left since last year. \/ my old review below \/ I agree fully with all the other reviewers, you just have to pay and pay some more for useless service, never have I seen a more unorganized and misinformed company in my life. Ask Soekie as I am still waiting for a reply on 3 of my emails I sent her over 3 weeks...
Absolutely no customer service at all, waited 30mins just to get helped in the store we then requested for delivery and have been waiting a week now after calling them twice already and being promised a call back and noting has happed since. Should have used Makro or Takealot!!
<p>So Telkom there is a lot to say about this company and believe me when I say rather get another company if you ever in the market for DSL or fiber services... So, it all started about a year ago when I decided I am done with telkom and there useless service and it's not the call center that's the useless part, it's everything else related to actually fixing your problem or just getting the service you are paying for, so I decided that it's time to switch to a "Real ISP" and get my ADSL service switched to Afrihost, so I phoned telkom and they said I need to wait 30days for the line to be placed in the holding pool and guess what it didn't so like you would I phoned again and asked whats going on and like always they have no clue as in whats going on and once again I was told to wait the 30days and I did again and to no success so I gave in to telkom and just gave up at that point and continued to use there " Service". </p> <p>In the beginning of this year we decided to change to a faster service the 20mb ADSL as we only had a ADSL router at the time, and it worked great for about week and after that the line kept syncing at 12Mb and I called support they would then reset the port and we would be running at 20Mb with excellent SNR and Attenuation but again and again this would happen to a point where we decided to get a nice Asus VDSL router to make sure it was not on my end and to get the service switched to VDSL. We then called telkom to get the service changed to 20Mb VDSL which is the same price on the "Elite Package" but first time around thay tried to sell us there Uncapped bundled Package so we declined and said that we just like to get the line switched from ADSL to VDSL nothing else then the story suddenly changed to "It is impossible and can not be done because 20Mb ADSL is the same as 20Mb VDSL" so we decided after talking to multiple Accounts people and getting the same story after a week or more of syncing at 12Mb and paying for 20Mb. I decided to give telkom another call first to the support side to get my port reset again and then I asked about the ADSL and VDSL thing and guess what he told me that I just need to speak to accounts and switch my service and that the ADSL and VDSL service is not the same thing. So we called sales and thay first said no and the same story as before and after asking to speak to the manager and when he suddenly then decided that it can be done we where told to wait 72hours for the technician to change the port at the exchange ok awesome I thought at the time we waited and weeks went past and we are still on 12Mb ADSL and paying for 20Mb doesn't that sound great? , finally again we are trying to get the service moved to the holding pool so we called we email we waited and once again we are being held hostages by Telkom.</p>
<p>I recently tried to get my log book from Cartracks website and firstly a 12year old can create a better looking and 1000 times more user-friendly site, it's 2017 not 1995 Internet Explorer and Flash Player was discontinued in "tech time" ages ago and has been blocked on most modern browsers and I am not even going to mention the disgrace of a web app or whatever you call that ****. </p> <p> </p> <p>So with all that said let move on to my next surprise when I eventually got to where I needed to be the last tracking data I had was from about a month and a half ago. So yes I should have checked that the system was still functional but what am a paying Cartrack for then? , I can get a self-installed tracking device that will not just track the location of my car but give me all the information in real time and not one something that was created in 1995 and guess what I am not going to be paying R130.00pm for it and it will let me know within seconds if the system is not updating. </p> <p> </p> <p>CARTRACK it's 2017 !!!!??? if you would like to see how it's done have a look at Afrihost and stop following Telkom.</p>
