I had previously had nothing but good experiences with Takealot, so I highly recommended to my mother when she was looking to buy a laptop. I assume my good experiences were due to the fact that I always, but my mother needed her laptop delivered. We accidentally put the wrong address on my account so the delivery had to be rerouted. We then called to ask them to change the address either on our profile or for the courier, we were told that they would sort that out for us shortly. Literally, a WEEK and 5 call center operators later, we were told that an address can’t be changed once it’s given to the courier. A WEEK. Now, had they told us this from the beginning, we obviously would’ve cancelled the order once we realized our mistake and placed it again— with no stress. But instead, we were foisted from operator to operator who claimed they could help us. Not a single one of them followed-up or explained to us why the parcel kept getting taken to different warehouses. They then lost the parcel and replaced the order, but put the WRONG address on, even though we had given them the correct one— needless to say, the nonsense, time-consuming, non-helpful cycle started again. My mother had important zoom meetings to attend, for work, that she missed, all due to this unnecessary debacle. Takealot needs to better train their operators. Only the very last person I spoke to clarified the matter and followed up. The rest of them didn’t even know that an address can’t be changed once the order is placed. I mean, that’s pretty basic and IMPORTANT information for a Takealot employee to know. I am also incredibly disappointed by their lack of follow-up. They say they’ll email or call you, and never do.
<p>Oh gosh, where to start? Lush cosmetics are my weakness, I am unable to walk into that store without buying something. The products are organic, unique, creative and incredibly effective. Now I could go on all day about how they're against animal testing, the use of preservatives within cosmetic products and how wholistic the entire store is, but what really stood out to me the most was the staff. These ladies are so kind, helpful and incredibly well-informed. They're willing to sit with you for however long just to help you find the right product for you. I go to the Lush store in Menlyn and every time I've gone it's been a different group of girls, but what remains the same is how helpful and kind this staff is. I had issues with a product and was given a refund, but it did not reflect in my bank account after over 7 days. I went into the store and spoke to the manager and she was so helpful and apologetic that desbite the inconvenience I couldn't bring myself to be upset. She sorted everything out with the bank while I was in the store, apologised profusely and gave me the product of my choosing as an apology. As if I wasn't obsessed with this place enough! The products are flawless and so is the staff! GO TO LUSH! It's environmentally friendly, organic, luxurious and effective products. (Products are either vegan or vegetarian)</p>
