First time revisiting this hospital after having 2 eye operations to remove cataracts in my 20's, waited 3 hours from 5am in the morning bug turned away due to no referral letter. Person didn't even bother to screen check me or my son's eyes at least as a screen test. If they gave me a chance to talk they would have picked up I have multifocals and son's frames were broken. I did manage to get in that I'm unemployed and that its my first time as much as my dignity could muster. Just turned me away with abrupt instructions "you must have a letter"and said "it's not a walk in.." and carried on with the queue? No empathy or compassion or even consideration for any further checks. Sad how our hospitals lack the care people actually need. It's not a profession for everyone. Thank you for the true "eye opener" McCords.
Excellent service, outstanding dedication and commitment. Affordable, reliable, professional attitude from staff and these guys get things done in awesome timing. Well done to Claire de Villers and team for delivering parcel on time for my son's studies for exams. Stellar work all around !!
I had the misfortune of a major car accident all of 11 years back in July 2007. Prior to this event I was of the impression I was well covered and insured allowing the comfort of the proverbial "peace of mind" we are all accustomed to hearing and identifying with. I suffered a massive injury to my right knee cap which left me off work for more than 3 months. This is when my tale of woes began! My claim was shortly declined thereafter much to my confusion as the metal plates, pins and *****s used to hold and piece to my knee cap together seemed permanent in nature. The first six months proved most of damage as i underwent administration in December 2007 - my accounts went into the red simultaneousy - destroying my iTC credit rating and record. I paid this ridiculous amount to the attorneys for 4 years hoping I would one day recover financially and physically, trying to buy myself some time. However by 2011 family financial support strained my marriage - my son was growing and s were his needs among other priorities and I was compelled to file for divorce under strenuous circumstances. The emotional strain led to counselling and diagnosis of depression and anxiety. Almost 7 years and a total of 5 jobs later, I was forced to resign recently due to immense strain on my injury as I needed to time recover. I recently launched a new dispute/complaint of which I am currently awaiting an outcome from the ombudsman and insurer regarding this claim as I strongly dispute the response I was given and grounds for repudiation. Please think carefully before you choose a life cover, make sure you read the fine print and ALL terms and conditions and have a reliable contingency plan in the event of emergency as a back up as there is no guarantee.
My dad, a pensioner, who has paid his premiums for the 4 years as a loyal client of Miway lodged a claim in September 2016. without any resolve or feedback. I have helped him log a complaint through their complaints RES ********** yesterday after waiting for almost 2 years. It is sad when insurers and companies are quick to debit you but slow to deliver on the benefits consumers rightfully pay for. My dad has since cancelled the policy which still hasn't resolved his claim and has had to resort to his own savings to repair the vehicle damage which has further deteriorated in the time waiting for claim response!
