Absolutely appaling customer service from Discount Decor. We ordered 3 tables and when delivered, pieces were missing. After contacting Discount Decor, they blamed the courier company for losing one of the parcels. The courier company produced paperwork showing that they only picked up one parcel and since their routines force them to register each parcel they couldn't have picked the missing one up. Even when presented with this, Discount Decor kept blaming the courier and refused to send the missing pieces. It's now 3 weeks later and we get nothing but unhelpful answers and unwillingness to help out. This is not how you do customer service. It would've been very easy for Discount Decor to turn this to a pleasant experience and create brand ambassadors rather than disgruntled customers.
Appalling customer service! No answer after 5 emails and more phone calls than I can count. If you have a massive backlog or for some other reasons are not being responsive, let your customer know so through your social channels and via email. It's not that hard to give decent customer service these days but Animal Gear manages to be on Telkom's level, which says it all.
<p>I had a terrible experience at the Rondebosch branch of Harrington's dry cleaner. Firstly I dropped my suit off at the Claremont branch and was promised it was going to be ready the following day.</p> <p>When I came to pick it up it wasn't there, I was told it was still at the Rondebosch branch as the Claremont is only a drop-off point. I asked them to call the other branch to ask if it was ready. They did and I was told it was ready and the quickest would be for me to go fetch it in Rondebosch.</p> <p>At this point I was already annoyed as I was leaving for a wedding the same day and didn't have time to waste.</p> <p>When I get to Rondebosch they tell me that they've sent it to Claremont already. I ask them to call the driver and tell him to turn around so I can get my suit asap. They did but when the suit finally arrives the stains I specifically asked them to remove are still visible.</p> <p>I kept my cool and just ask them to please try and remove the stains so I can get going.</p> <p>Instead of removing the stains they instead scrub the suit so hard that they make it even worse and leave a big discolored patch on the chest.</p> <p>I'm now furious and ask the lady who's in charge to give me my money back as they've clearly not done what I asked them to do but instead left me in a worse situation on top of the fact that I'm now running late.</p> <p>They refuse to refund me and keep telling me I have to go back to Claremont to ask for a refund. This is, of course, a ridiculous thing to ask as it is the same company and they could've just refunded me and I would've been on my way. I would've still never used their services again, but at least I wouldn't sit here and write this review.</p> <p>I have never experienced such bad service before. And I've worked the hospitality industry for 15 years so I've seen a thing or two.</p> <p>So think again before using Harrington's dry cleaner.</p>
