Active since Jun 2017
Our stuff was packed for transfer to UK in the last week of May this year and, nearly five months later, it is STILL in Cape Town. Their excuse is that, as we contracted for a part container, filling it took time. This we understand but the lack of transparency about this process has been totally unacceptable.
Very disappointed by Virgin Active's "announcement" about re-opening. First I heard about it was when I saw a debit on my bank account. This led me to phone both Claremont gym, and Head Office - neither were answering their phone. Got hold of Claremont this morning who tell me that news of their opening was in "social media" (I haven't seen it) and their app (I don't need it and didn't know I was supposed to have it). This is a slick organisation and I expected better.
I have had a Diners Club card since 1986. Unless memory fails me, I have settled the balance on the card in full and on time for each of the last 350 plus months. My card's validity terminates tomorrow on 31 January 2020, and I have not received a new card. This may be due to the entry of Diners Club into the credit card world (Diners, up to now, has firmly stressed that it is a charge card). As part of the logistical nightmare that they have created for themselves, contact with them has led to one broken promise after another ("we will call you". "we will send you forms for signature"). It gets worse. I have been told ("this conversation is being recorded") that I need to jump through the hoops for their new credit card (send this, send that) and if I want to stay on the present basis, my credit limit will be cut by 80% - not even enough for two air tickets to London! Diners, and I mix my metaphors, you are shooting yourselves in the foot and if it's not broken, don't fix it.
Tamar not only repaired my carry-on bag (torn fabric round handle caused by heavy books) but returned it spotlessly clean, as good as new.

In preparation for our forthcoming flight from Cape Town to London, my wife has, once again, unsuccessfully, tried to get a commitment from British Airways that her insulin (for type 2 diabetes) can be refrigerated during the twelve hour flight. In the last five years we have flown Emirates, Etihad, Turkish, and Singapore, and none of these airlines have been unable to help.

British Airways have responded:

We should advise you that you'll need to think about how to keep your insulin at the correct temperature for your whole journey, because our crew are unable to store it in the aircraft galley areas/storeage. Of course they can give you ice at any time, if you need it for in a cool bag (or similar).
