I would like to write a review about Oneplan Insurance Tricia Mmotsa just assisted me within minutes of all my queries and she answered them so well. Very helpful and you can jump from 1 question to another... it was a great experience.
I ordered 1 x Mellerware Fan Desktop Plastic Black 30cm 35W "Aquillo" on Takealot. This fan had issues from night one and I returned it the day after receiving it. I now received communication that they are out of stock and because I said I would like a replacement this can now not happen. However - I looked on their website and this fan is still available on their website. I paid R 399 on Takealot for the fan but now it is listed at R 634. SO, this fan is not out of stock, they just dont want to replace it because now it is more expensive. Even if I click on the fan I ordered, it takes me to the fan that is available for sale.
Got helped by Khutso Seduma on the chat service and this person was so professional and helpful. My claim will be paid.
Travel Insurance Consultants. We went on holiday in June to Europe. We lost a bag on the trip when we went from Lisbon to Berlin. The airline confirmed the bag is lost. I have enquired about compensation to no avail. Now TIC does not want to make payment for lost luggage because the airline is not getting back to us. I honestly don't know how to MAKE an airline reply to my email. They should have it out with the airline and not with me. THIS is the reason we take out Travel Insurance. Completely Ridiculous.

I was busy writing a good review for AVIS when I was informed that they would be holding my deposit. When I picked up the car I checked the wheels and tyres because I know that is generally an issue. Nothing was damaged and it was fine. We took the car back yesterday and they said that the bumper is damaged underneath. I was told to write that it was not checked before we took the car because we didnt check the bumper. However, we did not drive over anything, it never sc****d on anything and last night I received the email saying they would not be releasing the funds. I am now disputing this because I feel like R2500 is alot for some small scratch that we did not even create. We didnt do it. To my knowledge nothing happened. I find it quite unfair and dishonest from Avis to try this trick on me.
I wanted to change my bond account from another institution to ABSA and move everything to ABSA. We only owe small amount on the bond but the reward scheme at ABSA is just very good that we thought let's move everything back to ABSA. So In order to maximise the rewards I spoke to a private banker and it was agreed we will open the cheque account with an overdraft and get a personal loan (for a small amount - big enough to qualify for rewards). This was all approved within the last 2 days. Then when I realised I will have to pay at least R20k to move the bond to absa when I only owe about that much I now want to cancel. Now they want me to pay all the initiation fees and so forth. I said to cancel the cheque with overdraft and the personal loan. They both had initiation fees... To my knowledge there is a cooling off period in South Africa. Can anyone help me please?
Good day, I submitted a claim on a policy for retrenchment cover. This was approved and supposedly paid on 1 Dec (last week Monday) and today is 11 Dec. This is not reflecting in my account. I can prove it. I have been sent around from corner to corner. I have been trying to get the money because I need to make payments and keep stalling the payments. I have never been late with payment of a policy. I have been a customer of ABSA since they were United Bank. And this is how I struggle. Had I known this would have been an issue I would not have chosen ABSA Insurance. I dont have the money... I can prove it... so pay me and sort out your own internal problems. I have bills to pay and one takes out this cover for this exact situation. Now I have to struggle and make excuses to everyone why I have not paid.
First of all, we arranged the truck for 10:30-11:00. They only showed up at 15:00. Completely unacceptable. This was after they phoned at 12 to say they are at Forest Hill and that is at most 15 mins away. They did not have a GPS system. They did not have blankets. This was promised that they would have it. The amount of times I phoned the driver to find out where they are and give directions is too much to even mention. Yet I had to pay the full amount. The second load was not needed. We told them that they must look at everything and tell us. They then said that everything will fit. I said we can take some boxes and they insisted. They packed the boxes first and would then do the furniture to keep the boxes up. At the end they realised this was not going to work and they didn’t want to unpack everything and then leave some boxes (not my decision at all). The last load was finished only at around 20:30 from what I can remember. They got lost on the way back because they said that they know the way back - without a GPS. Our furniture is damaged. We have to also get in cleaning for the lounge as they dirtied everything. They were heavy handed with moving the furniture in that the property has damages that we now have to pay for as well. In short, they had no GPS, no blankets, damaged property and furniture. I still think the second load was not needed and a discount would have been more acceptable. You say this is not your normal service and I truly hope so for your business.
