I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of significant concern regarding the delay in the processing of my pension payout following my departure from Capitec. As a former employee, I have been patiently awaiting the settlement of my final dues, and it has come to my attention that the payout has not been processed. I have tried tirelessly to contact the Human Resources and Complaints Department however no assistance instead I am receiving communication to send through the forms AGAIN when these have been sent countless times. To provide context, my last day of employment with Capitec was on 20 October 2023, and as per the company policies and applicable labor laws, I was expecting to receive my pension payout within 6 weeks - we are in week 12! Regrettably, this has caused undue financial strain and uncer*****y on my end, as I had anticipated the timely receipt of these funds to meet my financial obligations. The lack of communication on this matter has been disconcerting and the service received is appalling to say the least - this is a process carried out daily I do not understand where the challenge is.
My name is Thobile Fonte, and I worked for Capitec Bank for just over a year. On the 20th of September 2023, I submitted my resignation letter and served 30 days' notice until 20 October 2023. I have been wondering why I have not received my pension fund since its over 2 months now, so I contacted alexforbes and to my surprise, they told me that they have not received a withdrawal request from Capitec Bank. What then is the purpose of providing notice and signing documents beforehand?
