Had another terrible experience with Takealot. Firstly the package came in a packet which isn't normal it was meant to be in a box because it was a normal deal. NOT a unboxed deal. It was used before. The box of the product was broken and the ring light does not fit the stand. Parts of the product are missing. The ring light is not the correct one. I did not order that. The one I ordered comes with a separate remote. I am unsatisfied with your overall performance as a company. I have recieved two other orders that were used before. I purchased a brush hairdryer which already had hair in it when I recieved it. The second time was when I bought a kiddies broom and dust pan set. It was delivered to us in a terrible condition. The product was used, as the bristles were frayed and dirty. I am unable to use this product because the two does not fit together. It makes no sense that something sold together doesn't fit together Your dispatch team may be messing around with your merchandise before it gets sent to the customers or someone swaps the product for the new one. I called multiple times and then eventually asked for a refund. They haven't given my refund because accessories are missing yet that was the main problem in the first place.
Worst value for money. Their portions are terrible, the quality isn't as good as it started out and they don't present their meals nicely especially when it's a takeaway. They are expensive with nothing to show behind it.
I purchased two dinosaur onesies and a booster seat/feeding chair from Iconix and I am completely happy with the feeding chair. I've had it for 9 months. The one dinosaur onesie had two tears in it and I emailed them to tell them about it and they immediately sent me a knew one a replacement. Then a month later the other onesies zip broke so I emailed them and they gave me a R250 voucher. Their customer service is really good.
I called the call center multiple times but the phone is always put down on the other side. Their service is absolutely terrible. I tried to follow up with the job number that was given to me and was told that someone/ a technician would come within 2-3 days. It's been over a week and still nothing.
I bought a combi Defy fridge/freezer from them less than a year ago, the fridge doesn't keep things cool and freezer no longer works at all. They were very quick to deliver the fridge to us with the proper courier and equipment to cart the fridge into our house. We got the fridge in November and the fridge stopped working early July which means we've had it for 8 months and has a guarantee of 5 years. As soon as we found out about it I checked on their site what the procedure was to return an item. It seemed simple. Was sent an email stating that I will be refunded. The returns supervisor Kevin called me and told me that they will have a courier collect it and from there it needs to be sent to Defy for them to check it on their site because they do not have the equipment to check it on site (Westlake). They informed me that a courier would collect it for a week the courier came everyday but there was an excuse everyday. 1st day they didnt have a proper vehicle, 2nd day they had a truck and nothing to cover the fridge with, 3rd day they didnt know they were collecting a fridge, etc it went on for a full week and is still happening today. The day I was promised that they would fetch it even without the proper cover/packaging they didn't show up. Then I notcied that something wasn't right so I went to their returns policy again and read it thoroughly. It said that damages caused between my home and westlake would be liable to me. So I decided to call Defy to ask them what the procedure would be and they told me that a technician is sent to your home for an assessment. The fact that the courier wasnt notified each time that they were collecting a fridge was my sign that something wasn't right. Everyday I would email them and they wouldnt respond once I told them that Defy was coming to my house for an assessment. From that time multiple couriers were here to collect the fridge and I kept telling them that Defy was coming to check it out themselves. This company is very quick to take money but will find anyway not to give it back to you. You will notice damages that weren't there before you sent it to them. The customer service is terrible. You have no guarantee on any of your items. This is not a reliable company. Be careful with purchasing from Loot.co.za. Will take this further on another platform if my money is not refunded.
Went to the sportscene store in canal walk. I wanted a pair of white superstars and the store consultants told me that the manager was out getting new stock and that he would be back soon and that they would ask him to get the superstars as well.. When the manager got to the store he had the superstars. It looked slightly bigger than the superstars I've seen but trusted them because of their name (sportscene) meanwhile they gave me a fake pair that they bought at Bellville. They're doing it to more customers.. People be vigilant, this can happen to anyone. I want a full refund because I paid R999. The guys name is Chadwin. Please see to it that he is fired, or that it is taken further.
