Clear, concise and super helpful service from Sylvester Mashaba. Thank You.
Super easy, just updated my insurance details to say I'm working from home and at a new address. Didn't call them, just used the app to chat to Nomsa and it was all sorted. Good job to the app developer and thanks Nomsa Mokoena for the excellent service. Very helpful. Thanks.
Expect to lose a quite bit of money to this rental agency and by “lose” I mean you literally give them money and get nothing of value in return. #1. Admin fees: Admin fees have become standard practice, but with this agent, expect to fork out almost R2000 in admin fees for you new contract. 2. Daylight Robbery(I’m not sure what else to call it): This agent forces tenants to vacate the premises and return the key halfway through December(student or working professional), BUT you STILL PAY A FULL MONTH’S RENT for December. Meaning that if your rent is R5000p/m, you will lose around R2500 of rent you paid but you were forced to move out halfway through the month. And should you wish to stay throughout December(which you have paid for), you must either…. A - renew your contract for the following year(which will cost you another admin fee around R2000) or B - Pay a penalty fee of almost R500 for late return of keys. There is a big difference between spending a lot of money and straight up losing a lot of money.
Read Carefully: this is not a negative review. I towed my car to Wackers this morning for a non-start issue. I was called later and told that my vehicle had a stripped cam-belt and that valves could be bent. I asked for a ball park figure which landed at R18K but I was told it would depend on the inspection and what they find. So I asked them how much for the cylinder head removal and inspection and I was quoted R3100. To my knowledge, cylinder head removal would take about 5hours max if you don't have the special VW tools needed. Removing the obstructing parts around the cylinder head would take most of the time. I assume Wackers have the special VW/Audi ninja tools and experience to remove the cylinder head in say 2.5hours max?! Meaning they were going to charge me R1 200/hr. for a 2005 Jetta TDi?! Its either they: 1. Were simply trying to take advantage of the fact that my vehicle is a tow-in, assuming I have no option but to pay whatever they come up with. 2. Are genuinely more expensive than the Volkswagen/Audi Dealer. 3. Had other bigger jobs and were using high prices to get rid of me. I kindly refused and told them to not proceed with anything else. I appreciate that they told me before removing anything. Norman was very friendly but good lord the pricing is through the ceiling. Just my opinion.
Not only are their delivery services a bargain but they were patient even though I made a typo with the collection contact number, after gave them the correct contact number and my contact wasn't picking up they waited till they were able to get a hold of him. I say thank you to that.
