Panel City Kokstad They have had my car for two months and only thing they keep telling me is ”supplier parts issue”. Mind you the car was not in a major accident with another vehicle. It got hit by a tyre that came off a trailer on the left hand side. All they had to do is fix the control shaft and minor repairs to the bumper, get new tyres and align the car. They are now asking me for contacts of suppliers? Me? The customer? Ridiculous!!! Absolutely disgusting service. They should not be associated with any insurance company ever! I am sure they get paid for storing the vehicle, because if they weren’t. They would act with a bit more urgency than this. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO PANEL CITY, unless you want to park it there for a few months. Highly unhappy customer!
MIWAY IS THE WORST WAY to claim, pray and hope you never have a claim with them. My car was hit with a bouncing trailer tyre on the 02/01/2024, but as of today I am told that the repair turnaround time is two weeks from now. That would be two months without a car. All because they were busy being *********** from the time the claim was authorized on the 08/01/2024 until the 25/01/2024. The claim was initially authorized for a panelbeater in Sandton, mind you the car was parked in Kokstad since the 2nd of Jan (they clearly were not aware of my car whereabouts) although they advised the towing company to take it there. Then spent two weeks moving it between two panelbeaters in Kokstad - this was only resolved after I logged a complaint on Twitter. Truly atrocious service and no one seems to care - not even their claims manager Bridget Du Plessis (who is yet to contact me, albeit numerous requests for the matter to be escalated). I am on a 5GB day time and 10GB night surfer plan WiFi router. I have always used not more than 2GB a month when I was on prepaid. I use work WiFi during the day and this router at home after hours. But this month since the inception of my contact with Telkom. I have supposedly "used" all 5GB in a space of 7 days as my day time data was finished as of the 7 of October. In June it finished on the 1st of June(same day it gets reloaded on) 11am in the morning to be precise. I complained about this to Telkom at Cresta shopping centre. Where I was told that it was used and they had no further explanations. Instead they passed the buck telling me basic information such as switching off my auto-updates, which is something we all do nowadays, especially me coming from a prepaid lifestyle with data. Told me to create a pin for my router, which I told em I already have, coz someone could of used my data. When I asked for them to show me which devices had connected to my router, they told me they can't. I already had assured them that I am the only one who connects and has the password to this router. But they still persisted on the abovementioned excuses. Furthermore this month, I asked for my billing usage to be sent to me and it was sent in a format that cannot be opened, I asked for a pdf format, which I am yet to receive. Asked to cancel my contract and yet to get assistance. They are really taking us for a joy ride and I am done with them. There must be an ombudsman for telecommunications companies.
