I bought Takealot's Naturemade Blackstrap Molasses 500ml. In my experience, blackstrap molasses is quite a bitter and thick, dark syrup. I even verified this with other online sources. Unfortunately, what I got from Takealot was a very sweet and loose syrup that I do not believe is blackstrap molasses at all. I am quite disappointed with the shop for this misleading label.
I took a SIM only contract that lasted 24 months with MTN until it expired. When it did, they gave me a new contract without my consent. When I complained and asked that it be canceled, they sent me a form to fill and email back. I did that, but I never heard from them again. When I called, I was told to upgrade my old contract so that the new contract will end. I did not want that but eventually decided to upgrade. Still, they cannot upgrade my contract and they don’t tell me why. I have tried three times already.
I’m really furious at the way in which the bank, especially their revolving credit, handles my account. It really reflects a complete disregard and incompetence, especially to a poor client who struggles to make ends meet. They have the habit of initiating their debit order from my account on the wrong day of the month, thereby causing to incur heavy penalties that are never reversed when they finally get the money on the 25th, which is the day I wrote down and signed. I have tried telling them on the phone to fix the problem but it is never attended to. I can’t wait for the day when I’m free off this horrible bank. I’m now counting on Hellopeter to get my message to the relevant personnel.
I cancelled my Savings for Retirement policy and was told to wait 5 days for the refund to reflect in my bank balance. It is now the second week and nothing yet. No call, no email, and no SMS. I called the customer service and was told to go to the nearest branch. The nearest branch is about a 100 KM away, in Richardsbay!!!
I don't know how many times I have complained about these people now. If I had money, I'd sure hire a lawyer to deal with them since it is obvious that they are taking advantage of my poor situation. They forced a contract upon me without my approval when I did not upgrade the previous one. When I asked to cancel it, they sent me a form and I filled and sent it back. But still, they are deducting money and giving me the data that I didn't ask for. What should one do now?
My cheque card expired in 2022 and I received a message from the bank asking me where I prefer to fetch the new card. I replied with the branch name and waited for them to confirm the card’s availability. None came. My internet banking and phone app were finally blocked because I had no new card. When I went, this year, 2023, to the chosen branch, I was told the card is not there or in my home branch. They had to reorder it while I had to carry out my monthly transactions manually, visiting shops to pay and depositing cash.
I took a 24 months SIM only contract with MTN in 2020, and everything went well. When it expired last year, 2022, I didn’t renew it or upgrade to a new contract, with the hope that my number will revert to prepaid. Instead, they started providing me with 6GB per month and deducting it’s payment, monthly, from my bank account, all without my consent. When I visited two of their different branches to cancel that, they sent me from pillar to post, until, finally, I called their service centre. I was then sent a form to cancel the contract and revert my number to prepaid. I filled the form and emailed it back. That was the last I heard from them. They continue to give me 6GB power month and deduct from my bank account. So I finally resolved to reverse their deductions and move my money out of the bank account so that they will find nothing.
There is totally no network for the whole week now, and I'm writing UNISA exams using the MTN contract. I had to buy Vodacom data in order to be able to write. What is possibly wrong?
I don't know if I'm the only one who is having this problem with the bank, but apparently, judging from the negative reviews, I'm not. Whenever I try to transfer an amount less than R100, it deducts from me but is not paid to the recipient, or it deducts from the sender but is not paint into my account. It simply gets lost along the way. I tried to resolve the problem with the bank and was told everything looks fine on their side. I suspect someone is stealing the money.
If there were negative stars I would have selected -1000 here. I'm having the most horrible experience of them all and wish I had not taken an MTN contract. I lost my contract SIM mid September and have never been able to do a SIM swap since. I have to travel more than 500 KM to reach Richardsbay, the nearest city where I can be helped. But Everytime I arrive there, their systems are offline. They sometimes go offline while I'm waiting in the queue. God!
