So... I bought some items on the Checkers 60Sixty app and received a "scratch card" to enter for a R1m .. which I did .... F%#k me if I could not STOP this ":CONSTANT BARAGE OF MESSAGES" from this application. #Checkers if you are trying to engage with me (this is NOT the way too do it). I eventually deleted the conversation on WhatsApp and "blocked the number" . REALLY is this the way you want to engage with with your "Extremally Loyal" customers? I THINK NOT. I will NO longer use the app untill this issue is resolved. VERY IRRATE CUSTOMER.
The Pick n Pay in the Adelphi Centre in Sea Point is just short of "disgusting" the shop smells (as if someone/something has died in it, I personally have seen "rats" running down the isles. I am not sure if this is a Company owned Store or a Franchise, but clearly it needs some attention. Speaking to other customers, it seems unanimous that the store needs attention or should close? There has been constant "water issues" wet floors, buckets under leaks, etc for YEARS. The refrigeration of frozen goods is constantly an issue. In RESPECT of its founder .... Raymond Ackerman... I urge the Group to look into this. I am APPALLLED and DISGUSTED at the shopping experience in this store. Its been DECADES and still its a MESS.

I recenty purchased the new Samsung Note 10 from the Vodacom store in the V&A Waterfront. When I got home and "unboxed" it, I was surprised to find that it did not come with a USB adapter... OK... so how do u connect to a PC (other than Wireless)? This also means you are NOT able to charge the phone in your car/aircraft or any other means that require a USB connection. I went back to the Store the next day and in truth, the sales staff were "rather surprised" and speechless. I googled the issue and found that there are 2 different products on the market.... 1 is from Malaysia (which is clearly where the SA product is from) which does not come with an adapter and .... 2 Global ... for the rest of the world , which comes with a USB cable and a OTG adapter.. I called Samsung support and after a number of calls (and promises that someone will call me back - which they never did) I spoke to a product specialist who confirmed that indeed the Note 10 does NOT come with the adapters and one is required to purchase this "separately". Had I been advised at the time of the sale, I would NOT have bought and paid over R23k for a phone that required a separate purchase for cables and would have chosen another Brand/Product. I AM FURIOUS AND DISGUSTED that Samsung and Vodacom and sell this product at this price and still force the customer to buy the cables separately. At least WARN the customers before purchase.
I have used Maxim Group on a number of projects over a period of 15 years and found Peter van Wyk to be exceptionally talented, with incredible vision. I highly recommend him and his team for outstanding work
