I bought a Ford Ranger bakkie from these guys. I collected it on a Saturday morning with all the ribbons and music and cheer etc. I noticed as I left the dealer that the aircon was not working. Then when I got on the highway, there was a bad vibration on the steering. I called the sales rep who said they would collect the bakkie on Monday and check it out. A week later, I still do not have my bakkie back. Last comms from them was the technician that is working on my vehicle is off sick and that the workshop foreman will work on my vehicle. This vehicle supposedly went through the Ford 160point Pre delivery inspection. What a joke. They can not even pick up obvious issues like this. What else have they missed? I’m not impressed with Basil Green Edenvale.
I have 13 units with Cartrack yet I can not reach anyone to assist me. Useless service. Useless call centre. Technicians who fit the units do not know what they are doing. My one vehicle nearly burnt out due to electrical wiring shorts that melted all the insulation on a glowing red hot copper cable. The unit on another vehicle stopped working and when a tech finally came to attend to it, he could not even find where it was installed and said I needed to sign a new contract for a new unit to be installed. Now Im paying for 2 units for 1 vehicle. And they still charged me for the call out even though he couldnt find the old unit. Totally frustrating trying to deal with Cartrack. Emails are never answered and the call centre keep you on hold forever. VERY DISAPOINTED with their service
Guys gave me a verbal quote to replace my iPad screen which I agreed to. When I went to collect, they had fitted the wrong Colour screen. I insisted the fit a black screen to the black iPad which they did. Then when I wanted to collect and pay they changed the price. I asked them why the new higher price, the said that I’m deaf and had not heard them correctly when they quoted me. After I insisted that I had not miss heard their original quote they called me an f..ing thief and threatened to beat me up in their store if I did not pay the difference. Guys please be careful if you deal with this store in P.V.R and make sure you get everything in writing before accepting any job.
Waited 16 minutes on hold for the call center to check where my parcel is.
