I was dealing with Rawson Properties Morningside. Where do I even begin, Rawson Properties Morningside has given me more headaches than smiles. We had recently moved overseas and were in the process of placing a tenant in our lovely home. We thought Rawson was rather reputable... First agent who has now left and Franchisee were very efficient but after the first year and our first tenant moved out, s**t hit the fan. After coming back and viewing our now empty place; there was no inspection after the first tenant left. The amount of damages and not being reitterated to us included: Cupboards inside completely burned from pots. Curtains ****** (One set) Light switches damaged Plumbing issues by the washing machine Wall outside chipped at least 5cm inwards from moving furniture Light fixture in lounge (Broken) and was just left off Missing set of keys to front door First agent left and it took Rawson FOUR months to place a new tenant. With excuses of looking really hard to find someone, but nothing was done! Two agents jumped on board and found someone, who was more of a hazard than a blessing to us. They wanted a complete repaint, which we were happy to do, and apparently it was repainted at the end of July 2023, but now looks EXACTLY the same, as I remember all the nitty gritties of our place. Where did that money we paid go? They **** this new tenant and said he could have three parking bays. They never stipulated that we would be selling our place, which we held off for a couple of months. The excuse I always got was 'Your tenant isn't happy.' which was texted on my WhatsApp numerous times. We paid a fee to manage the apartment and tenant but it always felt more stressful as we were dealing with petty stuff. For example: There was hail damage in November 2023, Insurance for the entire complex was coming to inspect inside and outside. The tenant was unhappy and didn't want people in the apartment, and so the message I got 'Your tenant isn't happy.' I shouldn't have even gotten these messages at any time at all. The team should have handled this on their own, or when I would stipulate to Rawson that it is our right to sell and bring people in; I got 'Your tenant isn't happy.' Just nothing was professionally done at all. We decided really push to sell in April 2023, and asked the team to sell the property. It was on the market for a year, and eventually after nothing was done I had to 'fire' them and move to Seeff. Excuses I got: It is the end of the year Market is bad Give me a week I promise I am selling your place by month end... And we just heard crickets for one year. My kind and caring estate agent selling the place made sure she'd schedule the buyers to view within an hour on one day. The tenants, while present, always made the sale very hard and very unprofessional. They would sit and drink beer, use the washing machine with the plumbing issues so there would be leaking into a bowl, and complain about everything that is wrong in the apartment. We never never any of the problems that need to be fixed and resolved. The two new agents were rude and disrespectful people with terrible email and call etiquette. Even the handover was terribly done and just blamed the previous tenant and first agent. They even cued in some ****** comments which did not sit well with me, very uncomfortable and unprofessionally handled. Franchisee constantly called all the time saying 'I have nothing to do with this' exactly how he called me earlier today to say he had nothing to do with the inspections. Badly done and terrible service and all sides. We had to tell our recent tenant to leave because Rawson couldn't handle him and we were done with his complaining. I could continue writing as this was officially exhausting; but I had to warn the next owners looking to rent or sell.
What a horrendous, yet fortunately brief, lapse of judgement on my part in choosing Belles Patisserie as the provider of my boyfriend's birthday cake. I had ordered a rainbow log cake from Belles, Illovo. Upon collection, I had discovered that my cake was skew and utterly unpresentable. At this time, I logged a complaint - to which the man at counter responded with a wholly apathetic, 'well, there's nothing I can do about it'. Pathetic. I was then told to call Clara or Chris. However, after numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach them (via call AND email) I have given up. R550 rand, and one INCONSOLABLY embarrassed girlfriend later, I shan't be going back. Adios muchachos </3
As any excited woman would be for a 35% off site-wide sale, I decided to order some clothing and a gift from Spree.co.za to take advantage of the discount as I did not have an outfit for a wedding I was attending, nor a birthday present for a friend too. Anyway, I placed an order of five items from them on the 27th of November 2017 with a standard delivery time of 2-3 days. Assuming I would get it by Friday the latest, the package had not even been packed yet nor left the warehouse by Friday, 1 December 2017 morning. On the same day, I called the Spree.co.za customer service line - they had a staff function, and clearly no one was available - only later did a banner appear on the website stating the staff function. I also emailed, tweeted and facebooked and still, today, 5 December 2017, there has been no response. Usually a company keeps someone on standby for customer care and social media - especially should they have just had a site-wide sale 3 days before. That is just my two cents. I called the customer care line yesterday, 4 December 2017, I was on hold for over 12 minutes and then eventually I put down. I have just received my parcel, 5 December 2017 - 2 days late and super disappointed. When shopping online, my go-to store is Spree.co.za. However, in light of this incident, I am sure it won't be the same in the near future.
